Instead of simply singing because it is what we do in church, let's consider the different ways in which singing is important in the life of a Christian. Singing is not only a sign of worship, but an act of war and a tool for shaping us into the people that God has called us to be.

This week we close our short series by looking for wisdom in a tech saturated world. Whereas technology can ever only answer the “what is” questions, we need something more to answer the “why” and “ought” questions. That something more is wisdom. Let’s wrap up today by looking again at some wise principles to guide our tech adopting and adapting.

This week we want to discuss two competing gospels – the gospel of technology and the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. What kind of narrative does the gospel of technology offer us? One that seeks to liberate us from our need of God and feeds our deepest idols. It is only in the true Gospel that we are given what we truly need – a face to face relationship with God. Let’s compare these two gospels.

This morning we begin our new series on technology and the life of faith. We will be answering some questions. What is technology? What is God’s relationship to technology? What is our relationship to technology? How can we trust God in the digital age? Let’s unpack these together with several Scriptures.

We will see that we too have been sent by God to live as new citizens welcoming in others to this new kingdom under the authority of a new King, Jesus. We will find that the trust and urgency we need for this mission is only available with a big picture kingdom identity. Where do we find that?    

Luke continues to narrate events in the ministry of Jesus to show us Jesus' unique authority over creation.  We are led to ask the same question as the disciples, “Who is this man?”  Luke’s answer, Jesus is Master over everything.

Jesus again puts his full God power on display for the disciples to see, yet they continue to struggle to understand who Jesus is. Luke invites us into that story putting before us the ever important question: Who do you say Jesus is?

Life is so perplexing many times. Reality is sometimes more confusing than fiction. In reality though, there are so many things we often can’t explain or understand. And yet when we come to the resurrection, we don’t find fiction, we find ultimate reality. This morning let’s look at three realities in the beauty of the resurrection of Jesus our Lord.
