In this episode Beth and Steve throw a good old listening party, this one primarily relying on one of Steve's "favorite discoveries" playlists.  It's so hard to find good new music out there but B+S are musical gardeners who get their ears dirty and pull all the weeds (really hard to do with one's ears), leaving just a beatiful bed of musical flowers.

The Wood Brothers are by far our very favorite band from the last 20 years.  If you are disappointed with the shallowness and and self consicous over production of music this could redeem music for you.  Highly recommended!

Mark Turnbull joins Beth and Steve to reveal one of the great unsung jazz singer songwriters of the 20th and 21st centuries. Jack was a true hipster before hipsters became hip, someone who had everything needed to be famous and well respected except for that mythological big break.  No matter, he breaks big on this podcast.
