BELIEVING CHURCH

Jesus was way more concerned with what's happening in us that how we seem to others. Problem is, most are obsessed with how they appear rather than who they are and who they are becoming. Lean into what He said when He said, "clean the inside" cause that's what matters.

We've worked so hard to tell people about the grace of God that sometimes we've missed the call of God. The call to do, share, work, care, build, feed, love... in His name. Don't clip this, listen slow and let the Holy Spirit convict and call us forward cause Jesus didn't mince words, He said what He said.

Jesus talked so much about life after you die... but it's not the afterlife that many get infatuated with. Sure, He talked about heave and hell and eternity and such, but where He really spent time was on that life after you die, here and now. Don't get it? You can. You will. Let's lean into His call to come and die and experience life after death.

Jesus said some stuff we love... and some stuff we don't like. It's that stuff we don't like so much that we overlook, skip or water down. Nevertheless, he said what He said, like how He said to love your enemies. You know, them folk you hate. In this first sermon, we lean directly into Jesus' charge, catch the weight of what it means and most importantly, do it so we can do what He said.

The freedom God gives us isn't just for us... it frees us to give for others, if we don't forget. Lean into this challenge and hear about some of the exciting things happening in and through BELIEVING as we live out the truth that the one who the Son sets free is free in deed.

Forgiving. It's one of the hardest things for a human to do, but it's one of the necessary things for a Christian to do. Our calling isn't to do more forgiving. The calling is to lose count forgiving. Lean in and expereince the power of being free to forgive.

You'll never be free as long as you allow shame to shape your story. Whether you feel riddled by shame or not, the truth is it has shaped our life and will continue to, until it's covered for good. You can live FREE INDEED even if there's shame on you.

When Jesus sets you free, He doesn't just free you from something... He frees you for something. You are free to live, do and be for God, but walking in it's fullness comes down to one reality... are you concerned about the credit? Through this powerful look at a familiar Bible story, we're going to become FREE INDEED to follow God and not care who gets the credit.

You can be free. Believe it or not, it's the promise of Jesus to all who believe. if He sets you free, you're free indeed... in a moment, no matter what. It was true for the most unlikely and it can be true for you. Experience His freedom, today, and be free indeed.

When you know the protector, you won't worry about the problem. The issue for most is we know our problem better than we know our Protector. In this final installment, we're are encouraged and challenged from the faith of Psalm 121 to see God's protection in our own lives birthed out of a faith that follows Him.

Psalm 23. The Psalmist makes a statement right off the rip that enables him to see God and walk with Him in a way many of us never experience. It's the first 5. Is it your first 5? Make his first 5 your first 5, today.

Commands are not presented for consideration, but they're expected to be followed by the one who gave the command. Psalm 100 is a command to the follower of God because of who God is and all God has done. Listen. Take notes. Most importantly... follow the commands... cause you've been told.

In this journey through a Psalm we take a look at a Psalm where the writer clearly is angry, prays some things we'd never pray... and then praises God in the end. Ya know, that's actually the whole point... that whatever you have and whatever you feel... you can take that to God. He can handle it. Actually, He can handle it best.

There is protection, strength, rest and confidence found when you're close to God. That's the testimony and the promise of Psalm 91 and one you need to receive in your life today. Come closer to God. Come to the secret place.

Power is a promise for everyone who receives the Holy Ghost, but the power has a purpose. Jesus made it too clear to miss, but yet many have missed it. Lean in to this Pentecost Sunday sermon and allow the person, power and presence of the Holy Ghost to fill you for the purpose God has for you.

The church can save you... not in a heaven and hell sense, but in a "protect you from" kinda way... but you gotta keep showing up. In this final installment, we discover what God is doing and can do through us when we keep showing up as the church.

We live in a divided world, but it's a world that we're called to make a difference in. In this sermon, we're going to discover how to keep showing up in this divided world and make a needed difference because somebody needs us.
