Send us Fan Mail After last weeks episode about the BSR and its many benefits we find ourselves looking to the rest of the world. One seasoned stunt coordinator is asking the same questions we ask when looking at the qualifications required by the BSR. He asks why stunt coordinators have no qualifications at all. Why? Because they aren't required. Lets explore Support the show If you've...

Send us Fan Mail Back in 1973 a very important decision was made by the UK stuntmen and women. They decided to create a register of performers. Instead of everyone having trouble finding work, they pulled resourses and changed the way action was created. Over the last 50yrs many of the great moments ever captured on screen have come from this register. Let me give you a brief rundown of how this a...

Send us Fan Mail It started with Edward Woodward, was taken on by Denzel Washington whilst giving Quenn Latifah a go. Send us Fan Mail Tom Cruise doing that thing he does, this time as investigator Jack Reacher. A man who knows how to handle himself and evade capture. Stunt Coordinator PAUL JENNINGS does a brilliant job prepping the action scenes. Stunt double CASEY O'NEIL works with Tom, as always, to test everything thoroughly before each sequence is filmed. ROB ALONZO is brought in as Assistant Stunt Coor...

Send us Fan Mail This movie does exactly what it says on the tin. Chuck Norris, assisted by Lee Marvin and a handful of stuntmen take on Robert Forster as a terrorist who hijacks a plane. Stunt Coordinator DON PIKE lays the action on with a butter knife and JOHN EPSTEIN doubling Chuck does a wonderful. #stunts Support the show If you've enjoyed this episode then why not follow us on Twitter,...

Send us Fan Mail This weeks adventure see's us taking to the high seas in search of a map, and treasure and an explanation as to why 'CUTTHROAT ISLAND' lost so much money. It certainly had nothing to do with the action, brought to you by assistant stunt coordinators JORDI CASSARES and DICKEY BEER and their stunt supervisor VIC ARMSTRONG. The entire movie is an homage to the great da...

Send us Fan Mail A celebration of the French stunt professional. Wonderful driving action with JEAN CLAUDE LAGINEZ in charge and legendary British stuntman JOE DUNNE in charge of the physical action. Send us Fan Mail The one occasion you get Michael Caine and Roger Moore in a movie together and it turns out to be this....sadly its not great but is rescued by ROY ALON as stunt coordinator who creates a number of action set pieces to take your mind off the fact that Michael Winner has written and directed this nonsense. TERRY WALSH doubles Michael Caine and STUART CLARK doubles Roger for the few...

Send us Fan Mail A brilliant example of action adventure set in a period piece with a handful of historical facts thrown in for good measure. Stunt Coordinators SIMON CRANE and MIC RODGERS, who also directs 2nd unit have created magical heart pounding stuff here. Its well worth a look if you haven't watched it already.  We'll be back on Friday for the YouTube show to go into a bit more d...

Send us Fan Mail Its the final chapter of the Indy trilogy and its incredibly important. We look at this from Vic Armstrongs point of view as he had effectively retired from performing and was concentrating on Stunt Coordinating and 2nd Unit Directing. So having to get himself back into shape for a doubling job is an incredible effort. Some of his finest moments - lets explore Support the show If...

Send us Fan Mail After last weeks exploration of female action Icons, imagine my surprise to find another list of 'The Greatest Stunts Ever...' And then imagine my shock when my face, youtube channel and link to my video about a particular stunt is also published....I'm not complaining ....all publicity is good. The Guardians list of the 25 Greatest Stunts is a bit sketchy though......

Send us Fan Mail In this episode I discuss, alongside the fabulous Dr. Lisa Funnell, the female action icon. The media loves lists, primarily when we have slow news days....but are these lists any good? Lets find out shall we? Support the show If you've enjo...

Send us Fan Mail Back in the day, I'm allowed use that phrase as I'm of a certain age, ITV was the home of light entertainment. 7pm you could see Emmerdale Farm, not Emmerdale...this was in the days when it was about farming and not adultery or murder. This would have been followed by Coronation Street and then at 8pm was This Is Your Life hosted by wonderful Eamonn Andrews. This episode...

Send us Fan Mail A look at what was happening in the world of Bob Simmons and Bond back in 1983. An important time to be a fan and if you worked on the Bond a great time to have Bob Simmons on your side. Send us Fan Mail Ray Austin was for many a founding father of stunt work. Here in the UK he was one of those few who gave many of the stunt business legends a leg up at the start of their careers. He gave Rocky Taylor an opportunity at doubling Patrick MacNee on The Avengers and he never looked back. Ray's story is fascinating and this interview will give you an insight into his world, a magi...

Send us Fan Mail Roy Scammell was an extraordinary character. Often seen on screen and easily recognisable by his shock of blonde hair.  If you've ever seen anyone rollerskating in a film from 1970 to 1985 it was probably Roy. Apart from those skills he has fight arranging and stunt coordinating details on many movies and TV shows that have become household favourites. This is an interview fr...

Send us Fan Mail Back in 2016 Luke Aitkins jumped from 25,000ft without a parachute....why? Well this will become apparent when we listen to this episode. Mountain climbers climb mountains because they are there...not a million miles away from this remarkable feat. We talk to stuntman and the engineering brains behind this event Jim Churchman about his involvement and the details behind the stunt....

Send us Fan Mail A film that I've seen on many occasions and one that has many key moments. Lawrence Olivier starring alongside Gregory Peck is enough to get the juices flowing, but we also have an added element of K9 proportions. Three Doberman's are set to attack Peck at the end of the film. How is this done? Who are the stunt doubles and what are the risks? Have a listen and fight out...

Send us Fan Mail Richie Gaona is one of those select few of top US stuntmen who had an opportunity to work on the biggest and best productions Hollywood can throw at them. Starting out life in the family business of circus performer Richie quickly realised that his skills would be put to good use in the film game. A helping hand along the way from an established stuntman and coordinator, gave him...

Send us Fan Mail Sir Norman Wisdom was definitely an important factor in the success of the stuntman in film. Norman was guaranteed to make you laugh whatever you did. He couldn't walk down the street without seeing an opportunity to fall over and make people laugh. Tex Fuller was a stuntman who was perfectly cast as Norman's stuntman for many of his movie outings. They worked very close...
