In Matthew 19, Jesus invites the little children to come to him. We are each invited to come to Jesus, just as we are, through no merit of our own, but by his grace.

In Luke 23, Jesus on the cross prays for those who are killing him. Forgiveness is powerful, and lack of can be a really burden on us. Sometimes we have no ability in ourself to forgive, it is only by the strength of God.

In John 11, Jesus says "Thank you that you have heard me”. Here, we look at what it means to be heard by God, the creator of the world, and what that means for us as we pray.

In Mark 1, we see that Jesus took regular time away from the business of life and ministry to pray in quiet solitude. We are invited to do the same.

As Jesus prays for his disciples in the garden in John 17, he prays for for them to know God, and also prays for their protection and sanctification. We too can pray that for one another in our lives today.

Jesus prayer in the garden of Gethsemane teaches us to pray to know God, his character and the hope of eternal life.

Jesus way of prayer was attractive to those that saw, which lead the disciples to ask him to teach them to pray. Jesus response is the Lord’s Prayer. This is part one of a series called 'Teach us to Pray'.
