So what's next? After we find the lost and connect them to God & His church, what do we do? This week, we dive deeper into the Great Commission to help us understand what God is calling us to do.

What is the purpose of the Church? Thankfully, God was very clear. Before Jesus left His disciples, He gave them a world-changing commission that still drives the Church today.

Why did Jesus have to come to earth? To understand the "why" of Christmas, we have to first look at the beginning and the end of the Bible.

This week, we look at an example of Messianic prophecy to find the hope we have in the Christmas story.

Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.” That sounds terrifying! If these past few weeks are what God really expects of me, is it even possible for me to live out God’s will?

What’s the difference between accountability and judgement? I know I have issues, but I’m pretty sure I’m surrounded by people that are more messed up than I am. Am I not supposed to point out their issues so they can get better?

Is it really possible not to worry? We all have at least some anxiety, don’t we? As nice as it sounds to wake up every day without a care in the world, is that really possible? 

Why does God care so much about money and authority? Can’t we be good Christians and still want to be wealthy and comfortable here on earth? Does it really matter if we want to have some level of control here?

“…if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.” This has to be a typo, right? Does God actually expect us to forgive the people who hurt us? Will He really not forgive us if we don’t forgive others?

What’s the big deal with people seeing how kind and generous we are? Shouldn’t we be a shining light to everyone around us? 

Jesus said, “Pray for those who persecute you.” Does praying for their punishment count? Are we really expected to love those who make our lives difficult?

We’re all familiar with the whole “turn the other cheek” thing, right? But does Jesus really expect us not to react, especially in our hyper-reactionary culture? We’re supposed to stand up for our rights, aren’t we?

Jesus said, “…everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgement.” We all get angry, right? Surely that’s not as bad as actually murdering someone? 

Jesus said, “…everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” And don’t get me started on the next part. My eyes and hands aren’t going anywhere! What did Jesus really mean?
