Ballpark Hunter

It's been a month, but I am back with an update on where I have been. I have seen games in Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and I will tell you all about them this week on the show!

My guest this week is Taylor McFarquhar, the GM of Maine Beach Ball. A new concept this summer at The Ballpark at Old Orchard Beach. The family-friendly style of summer collegiate baseball will mirror Bananaball, but feature 7-inning games, several in-between inning promotions, and plenty of excitement at the ballpark.

My guest this week is Becky Mateja. She is the founder of NWI Fun Ball and will debut the Region Razzles this summer at Oil City Stadium in Whiting, Indiana. Fans will expect a whole lot of fun with a 7-inning game that includes baseball, softball, dodgeball, a dance off, and my personal favorite-kickball!

My guest this week is Gaz, the host of a Brit Does Baseball. It is a podcast from London that talks about Major League Baseball from a British perspective. He tells me about where his love of the game started and where he sees the podcast heading for the future.

My guest this week is David Tebias and Thane Hathaway of the Lakeville Loonatics. They are in the process of buidling a brand-new ballpark and debuting a new baseball team this summer in the Minnesota Baseball Association. They talk about the formation of the ball club, the design of the logo, and what fans can expect at the ballpark this summer in Minnesota.

My guest this week is Caleb Whittemore, the GM of the Zebulon Devil Dogz, a new ball club in the Coastal Plain League. The roster is made up of a majority of players from Australia. Whitteore shares that ticket options will include $20 all-you-can-eat and there will be a fresh new look at the ballpark this summer.

My guest this week is Mike Jones, Brand Experience Lead, at Heyo. He created the Scrambled Dogs alternative identity for the Columbus Clingstone which the team will wear three times this season. For Jones, it is a dream come true and he will share the design process along with his other works in professional sports.

My guests this week are Sam Voita and John Costa from the Grand Island Fighting Cranes of the Diamond Baseball League. The newly formed summer collegiate league is looking to bring family fun to Ryder Park this summer begining in late May.

My guess today is Melon Catlett, founder of the Mid-State Melon Mashers, a new independent summer collegiate baseball club taking the field this summer in The Triad. Catlett explains where the name Melon Mashers comes from and how it will bring awareness to a cause he is deeply passionate about. It will be an exciting episode. Let's Smash!
