We’re continuing our nostalgic look back at the Very Special episodes of yesteryear with a look into how the Keatons handle an alcoholic Tom Hanks on “Family Ties”. Uncle Ned is struggling, but Hanks being Hanks still draws plenty of increasingly inappropriate laughter from the audience. Can his family win him over with some tough love? If you’re not familiar with Family Ties, the other major draw...

Director Guy Ritchie brings his style to the classic myth in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017). With the great cast and fun design, why did it get 30% on Rotten Tomatoes? Jim and A.Ron are here to hash that out. It has bigger elephants than Lord of the Rings, but the story is all over the place. Is this movie made of the stuff of legend? Thank you to PMH for commissioning this podcast!  You...

We’re taking a bit of a detour through our nostalgic trip back through the action shows of yesteryear, with a Very Special Season of Feeny. That’s right, we’re checking out the cheesy, cringy, gather the family around to watch a 23 minute attempt to tackle serious societal issues. And first up, BOY MEETS WORLD takes on the wackadoo world of cults. And of course, we get to shine a spotlight on the...

It’s the last ride of Rick and Michonne (maybe) and it’s streets ahead of the previous episode. Jim and A.Ron feel like they’ve seen this plot before…oh yeah, The Walking Dead is recycling their scripts again. The finale is a clip show of past foul deeds. Petition for Jim and A.Ron to do some rewrites. Send your feedback to twd@baldmove.com! A big thank you to Mysteriana for creating the Watching...

The zombie apocalypse is a lot nicer when you have noodles and drinks. Jim hated this episode of The Ones Who Live, A.Ron found a few things to like. Jadis gets her moment in the spotlight (ew). There’s a new zombie type. George Lucas must have written the dialogue. Next week is the series finale! Send your feedback to twd@baldmove.com! On this episode of The Ones Who Live, silly action is balanced out by the stunning performances. Danai Gurira not only plays Michonne, she also wrote the script. A.Ron appreciates the emotional levels of this episode, Jim says “beep, boop”. Will Rick come back to his family? Doubtful since Judith was never mentioned.  Send your feedback to twd@baldmove.com! Dredd (2012) is already well-loved by Jim and A.Ron. This project was brought to you by Pete Travis (Vantage Point) and Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later). Find out how this action, sci-fi created a whole world with the minimum number of sets and actors. The effects are equal parts stunning and gruesome. Though this movie stars Karl Urban and Lena Headey, the slow motion might have stolen th...

Ethan Coen sets out as a solo director once again to give us Drive Away Dolls. A quirky romp full of intentionally offensive humor, one unforgettable MacGuffin, and drug-fueled sequences. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cringe. And Jim can’t think of any innuendos off the cuff…probably a good thing. The next Bald Move First Run movie is Dune 2! Starship Troopers is the pulpy, sci-fi, satire that tried so hard to be a commentary that it seemed to miss its own point. From Paul Verhoeven, the director behind RoboCop (1987) and Total Recall (1990), comes a movie about bugs and fascism. Between the CGI and blatant metaphors, Jim and A.Ron explore the guts and glory of this weird adaptation. Hey there!  Check out https://support.baldmove.com/...
