As we close our Mission Possible series this Sunday, we will be looking at some possible obstacles that may try to stop us from completing our objectives 🚧 every mission experiences challenges and distractions 💥 so let’s look at 3 areas where we may be hindered in our mission, and gain insight into each one of them so that we may be victorious and successfully accomplish our mission 💪

What are you doing with your time? ⌚ in today's message we'll listen to the wisdom of a man who had what appeared to be an impossible mission. In Part 3: Time is Ticking, we will go to one of the oldest Psalms to learn some timeless truths about the stewardship of time ⏳

Jesus said “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” He also said “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” 📖 Jesus is calling us to a mission that at first seems impossible, and it IS impossible if we try to do it on our own 😅 but we are NOT alone. In our new series, Mission Possible, we will find out how God has equipped us for the mission He has called us to 💬

We're wrapping up our Money Matters series 💰 in Part 4: Co-workers with God, we will look at a small number of verses that deal with finances 📖 we'll briefly talk about tithing and how it applies to us today 💵 and how you can be a co-worker with God in the area of your finances here at Awaken Life Church ⛪

In Part 3 of our Money Matters series we're looking at The Prosperity and Poverty Gospels 💰 faithful, Christ loving disciples have opposing views about money and possessions 💵 which one is right? 🤔 this is a difficult and challenging topic, but this Sunday it will be our focus 🔍

Last week we started our Money Matters series by going to the beginning, to Creation, to find that we were created to be stewards of what God placed in our hands 🤲 this Sunday we will move to the end, to the return of Christ, to find out the importance of being good stewards. February is budget month in South Africa, and the Bible has much to say about money and possessions 📖 today we’re starting a series called “Money Matters” 💰 because, well, money does matter 💵 in Part 1: We are Stewards, we’re looking at some attitudes toward possessions, and at what God intended at creation 🙏

Now that we’re back into our routines, have you noticed how the demands of work, school, and life are a little overwhelming? 😓 it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, but we don’t want to remain in that state… So what can we do to fight it? 🤔 in this practical message, we’ll talk about some ways in which we can overcome overwhelm 😌

Have you ever woken up at night to find yourself in total darkness? 👀 even if you are familiar with your room you move with caution because you don’t want to bump into things. Having a source of light at that moment would be helpful 💡 one of the things Jesus said about himself is “I am the light of the world”, in this message we will find out more about what that means 🕯️

Have you noticed that much of the teaching Jesus did, he did around food? 👀 telling others about God and His goodness is an ancient practice, and it was often done at meal times, around the table 🍝 in today’s message, Table Talk, we’re talking about sharing your faith 💬

A New Year offers new opportunities for believers who keep their eyes on Jesus 👀 in this message we’ll hear about the New Life that Jesus offers as we turn the page of our calendar, the page of our lives, and the pages of Scripture 📖

In all our celebrating and planning for the new year ahead, let’s not forget the Lord 🙏 as we enter this new year, let’s take note of some principles we should follow to enjoy His blessings in 2023 ✨

We’re closing out our Advent series with Part 4: The Unexpected King 👑 we’re so familiar with the story of Christmas that if we’re not careful, we might miss some meaningful details 📖 in this message, we will be exposed to 4 words that should cause us to pause, reflect, and rejoice in the fact that the King who came unexpectedly will soon return unexpectedly to rule and reign 🙌

In Part 3 of our series, Advent, we’re looking at The Unexpected Prophet 🗣️ this birth is directly linked to the birth of Jesus, and breaks a 400 year prophetic silence in Israel. We’ll be reminded of God’s faithfulness to His promises, His Power in causing them to pass, and the reality that God calls people even when they are in the womb 🤰

During this Advent series we are looking at births in the Bible that pointed to the greatest birth of all, the birth of Jesus 👶 in Part 2: The Unexpected Prince, we look at someone whose birth, life and ministry point people to Christ 🙏

Throughout the Bible we see that certain births brought great hope and expectations 😌 many are a foreshadowing of the greatest birth of all, the birth of Jesus Christ 🙏 in our Advent series we’ll be taking a look at some unexpected births, starting this week with The Unexpected Son 👶

In Part 2 of our REWIND 2022 series ⏪ we will look at Growth Principles. In the beginning of the year we heard a few messages that gave us practical tools and practices to enable us to grow in our relationship with God 📖 as we review these principles, we will take stock of our lives in 2022, and can see what needs our attention to in 2023.

REWIND 2022 ⏪ a short 2-part series in which we are reminded of some of the lessons we learned this year. In Part 1, Love and Relationships, we take time to reflect on different types of love and how the Word of God speaks into them 📖 as we enter this festive season, let’s give attention to our relationships and apply these lessons of love ❤️

As Paul concludes his letter, he gives an overview of what living in the flesh and living in the Spirit looks like 😌 just because we are not under the law does not mean that we live without rules.

In chapter 4 of Galatians, Paul points to the fact that we are free from the law 😌 he compares this freedom to a slave who has been set free. Does that mean that once we are free in Christ there are no rules to live by? 🤔 and where do we go once we have this freedom? Let’s find out in Part 4: Adopted 📖

As we continue our series in the book of Galatians, we see that the Apostle Paul had some strong words to say in chapter 3 💬 he makes a firm point that we are justified by faith alone, not faith plus anything else. Don’t miss Part 3 - Faith Alone 🙏

In part 2 of our Galatians series, we will discuss if faith in Jesus Christ is enough, or do we need something else to be ok with God? 🤔 are there rituals we have to perform, or tasks we have to complete? 😅

This Sunday we’re launching a new series, a study on the book of Galatians 📖 in this five-week series we will look at its importance and relevance to our faith and life today 🙏 In Part 1 we’ll see that Paul’s thundering opening shows how passionate he was about the Gospel, and to see it properly applied in the church. Let’s be challenged to make sure that we are standing on the grace of God 😌

As we take part in communion we remember the cross of Jesus, and because He endured the cross, today He wears a crown 👑 in this message we explore how Christians are being lulled into believing that we can earn a crown without a cross ✝️
