Humility is a necessity for those who follow Jesus. A common pitfall for some is thinking that we can accept Jesus as Lord and Savior then go on living our lives according to our understanding. Through the practice of humility God will use, speak to, and build up His people to do His work for His glory.

Communion is something many of us have done for a long time. But do we really understand what it means? Jesus created communion with deep spiritual meaning attached to it. This message seeks to shed deeper understanding on what communion really is.

We’re going to look at a moment in the life of Peter as he struggled with guilt and shame. As we hear Peter's story, it will reveal to us what it takes to stop feeling like failures and walk as honest followers of Jesus.

It will teach us a lot about the heart of God and a choice we will have to make ourselves if we intend to follow Jesus in a way that honors Him.

Jonah, having wrestled with obedience and submission to God's will, finds himself at odds with God once again. Jonah’s heart and perspective are running in direct opposition to God. This shows us an incredible contrast between God's heart and our own heart, and how easy it is to be headed on a collision course with God's plans.

Just like Jonah, we all have messed up, gone our own way, or made bad choices. But God is a God of second chances and He will use our past as a platform for His purpose.

Even when we run from God, in our rebellion we can still cry out to God and He will hear us and answer us. Jonah 2 teaches us about who God is and how we can talk to Him in our storm.

Hide and seek can be a fun game to play. But when we are running from God, there are real consequences for our sins, just like what we see for Jonah.

God will speak to us and when He does, we have the choice to obey what God says or to run the other way. We, like Jonah, have the choice to obey or run away.

It’s easy when following Jesus to get our priorities out of line. If we’re not careful, we can find ourselves doing a bunch of “spiritual things” that wind up being dead and useless. But what we will see through this teaching is that following Jesus actually boils down to three simple things, with love being the one that binds them all together.

When we think about love, we think of it as soft. But what we learn from Paul in 1 Corinthians 13 is that real God-like love is hard.

The classic Christmas story is so easy to read through and completely miss its true meaning. The truth is, the first Christmas was an incredible grand entrance of a King whose kingdom and life would be unlike any other. This message is to help us see the wonder of King Jesus.

As kids, there is excitement and joy around Christmas unlike any other time of the year. But as we get older, that wonder fades. The doubts, distractions, brokenness, and busyness of life choke out that amazement we once felt. In Matthew 1:20-25, we will learn where our wonder really comes from and hopefully reclaim it again.

Christmas can be either the best or worst time of the year. Even if this feels like the worst time of the year, we can learn from Mary on how we can change that.
