Believers are called to stand firm in the midst of the spiritual battle that they are in. The way we do that is through prayer and putting on God's armor.

The reputation that proceed Christians will impact our ability to get the message of Jesus out. Unfortunately, the reputation isn’t always a very good one and it immediately puts us at a disadvantage. We can overcome those things through a few simple actions found in Ephesians 6:5-9.

All of us who are followers of Jesus are called to submit to one another. Paul includes parents and children in this call. Paul shows us in Ephesians 6 what God intended the parent/child relationship to look like.

Marriage was God's idea and there are times that we need to go back to see how marriage is suppose to look like and what responsibilities we are to have in the marriage relationship.

Contentment is not settling for what you’re stuck with, it’s unlocking the joy in what you’ve been given

Walking wisely, and using our time purposefully is the goal of any follower of Jesus, but that can’t be done without making the active choice to set aside certain things from our old way of living, and choosing to instead be complete in the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18-21 helps us understand the practical way to do all of this.

We all want to make an impact with our life and the way we make an impact is by knowing how to use our time well. If we are to imitate God, we need wisdom on how to make the most of our time.

In our world we see many images of light versus darkness. In the Bible we are told to walk in light as imitators of our Father. Paul reminds us that in the midst of a dark world we are to be defined by the light of Jesus.

Learning to walk can be difficult. There are times when we stumble and fall. Paul understands that and is encouraging us as we imitate God. One of the ways we imitate Him is through love. We are taught about what love is and isn't.

As we move into another year of ministry its important for us to remember that we want to please God in everything we do! On Awaken's 12th birthday, we are reminded of Hebrews 11:6

Any parent will tell you that their kids will mimic them in all the good and bad ways. In the Bible, we are called to imitate God. In Chapter 5, we learn what that looks like and how to mimic God.

The real challenge of giving isn’t having enough money to give, it’s having the heart to give at all. The heart behind our giving is critical if it’s going to be done in genuine faith. This message helps paint the picture of why we give and what it is God is looking for in our giving.

Managing our money can be tough. The world's financial plan is different than God's plan. It all starts by putting God first in our lives above all else, including money.

As little kids, we found security in our stuffed animals as we went to bed at night. But as we have grown up, we are on a search for where to find security. Jesus has something to say about where to place our security and it won't be taken from us.

To join this Circus called the church we need to devote ourselves to knowing the truth, being equipped, bearing one another's burdens, sharing our struggles, gathering together, loving one another, and praying in faith.

We need to leave the relaxed, unconcerned mentality about faith and church behind, and step into a serious following of Jesus. In order to do this we have to learn the way to balance genuine relationship with Jesus properly. In this message, we’re going to look at the three things required to keep our balance.

There’s a tendency as churchgoers to live a double life; claiming to be Christ followers, but living like culture followers. To claim Jesus as Lord comes with terms and conditions that we can’t ignore. The heart of this message is to re-focus on what the life of a serious follower of Jesus looks like.

There are a lot of things in this world trying to get our attention, but we need to do is make sure our hearts are meditating on the right things!

In life, we all need reminders. One of the biggest reminders that we need is that God knows everything about us. Yet even though He knows everything about us, He still loves us.

Shame is something that we have all felt and dealt with. Psalm 25 is a personal prayer to God that we can use to help us with our shame.

We live in a world that is shocked when people have integrity. But as Christians, we should be living lives of integrity. Psalm 15 shows us the characteristics of a person with integrity.

We all struggle with different fears, worries, and anxieties. Psalm 55 has useful ways to help us overcome anxiety.

So many people are looking for ways to live a blessed life. The author of Psalm 1 gives us the three ways we can live a blessed life.
