All ten suns rose at once. The earth burned and people starved. Then the divine archer Hou Yi drew his bow — and shot down nine, one by one. 十个太阳同时出现，大地焦枯，万物垂死。神箭手后羿弯弓搭箭，一箭一个，射落了九个太阳。

Cang Jie looked at the tracks of birds in the mud — and saw letters no one had ever seen. On the day he invented writing, grain fell from the sky and ghosts wept. 仓颉从鸟兽足迹中受到启发，创造出了文字。传说造字那天，天降粟雨，鬼魂夜哭。
