Dennis Rodman Autobiographies Book (REVIEW) 07.01.2022

I go through Dennis Rodman's FOUR autobiographies and let you know which ones are worth keeping and which ones I threw off my shelf. (PS - I love Dennis Rodman.) *No Spoilers*(REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"The Count of Monte Cristo" Book (REVIEW) 06.01.2022

What an adventure! I discuss The Count of Monte Cristo and why it's high on my shelf. I also discuss some of the nitty gritty details regarding translation and abridging the novel. It's a gooder. *No Spoilers*(REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" Book (REVIEW) 06.01.2022

This book is Top Shelf. A great yarn built on a non-fiction crime drama. It's a little tongue-in-cheek and mysterious. If you like spilling tea, you'll love this book. (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"The Cosmic Trilogy" Book (REVIEW) 05.01.2022

I talk about C.S. Lewis' Sci-Fi Trilogy and why I'm taking it Off the Shelf. (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"ON THE ROAD" Book (REVIEW) 05.01.2022

I review the novel, "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac; a roman à clef stream of consciousness beat book. Kerouac has thinly veiled his true life events, and those of his friends, with pseudonyms and cavorts with Nihilistic Hedonism until the cows come home. I almost toss it off the shelf but it stays on, barely. (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Middlesex" Book (REVIEW) 04.01.2022

I review the novel, "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides. It is a Family Saga/Epic tale with Coming of Age and Slice of Life flavours. The reader enjoys stories through three generations, some anecdotes taken from the author's own life inserted, of a Greek family that found their way to America. The bulk of the story takes place in the late 60s through the eyes of a teen trying to navigate their world...

FUBAR I & II Movie (REVIEW) 03.01.2022

The FUBAR films are an irreverent, lowbrow, very Canadian story about friendship in idiocy. The first is a Mockumentary and the second a real Christmas film. If you can't enjoy crude and dark humour, these are not for you. (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

New Year, New Me! Not. (CONVERSATION) 03.01.2022

I talk about New Years Resolutions and why I think they can be silly. (CONVERSATION - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.coma

"The Secret Lives of Colour" (REVIEW) 03.01.2022

I discuss the book, The Secret Lives of Colour, and how it's a fun and informative look at colours - where they came from and why they're still around or have been discarded. A great coffee table book for visual artists/designers! (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Nightmare Alley" Movie (REVIEW) 03.01.2022

Guillermo del Toro 's new film: A dark, moody, crime-drama-thriller filled with oddities that keeps you on your toes. A man searches for escape from his dark past... (REVIEW - WEEK 1, YEAR 4) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

Self-Help Books (CONVERSATION) 01.01.2022

I discuss my initial, long-carried, aversions to Self-Help Books and how that's changed over time. (CONVERSATION - WEEK 52, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.coma

Hanlon's Razor (CONVERSATION) 21.12.2021

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.” I discuss how a simple modification to the philosophical device, Hanlon's Razor, can assist me in being more compassionate. (CONVERSATION - WEEK 51, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.coma

"Kennel Block Blues" Comic Book (REVIEW) 19.12.2021

A beautiful comic in visuals and content. A great gateway into contemporary comics for those who like a little introspection, but nothing too serious or heavy, that can still have fun! (REVIEW - WEEK 51, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town" Book (REVIEW) 19.12.2021

I had to read this book in a CanLit class years ago. It's horrible. Despicable Characters framed as Cute - no thanks. (REVIEW - WEEK 51, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Bite Club" Comic Book (REVIEW) 19.12.2021

"Bite Club" - an entertaining, trashy look at the Underworld of vampires in organised crime. (REVIEW - WEEK 51, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Pimp", Book (REVIEW) 16.12.2021

"The Catcher in the Rye", Book (REVIEW) 16.12.2021

I give you a quick review, no spoilers, on The Catcher in the Rye. A coming of age story that evolved into more than I thought it would.  (REVIEW - WEEK 50, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

V for Vendetta Movie (REVIEW) 15.12.2021

I tell you a bit about why V for Vendetta is a great dystopian fiction that mirrors reality today and how it can teach us about the power of an Idea. (REVIEW - WEEK 50, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

Atticus' "The Dark Between Stars" "Poetry" Book Review (REVIEW) 15.12.2021

I discuss the anonymous "poet" Atticus and his collection of works. As far as poetry goes - I'm not impressed. Basic Shallow Pandering and Perpetuating of a Culture of those who Wish to be Enabled.  [I get a little judgmental of not only Atticus' but of the audience he plays to. I got caught up and should have left some things out and worded them differently but I'm leaving it here as is with...

Sleigh Bells "Reign of Terror" Album Review (REVIEW) 06.12.2021

Sleigh Bells is a pastel goth girl with bubblegum pink hair, black nails, a spiked collar, with sugar in her voice and a smile on her face with blood dripping dripping from her face from a fight she was just in. We don't know if she won or lost and it doesn't matter - she fought. (REVIEW - WEEK 49, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

Not Responsible for the Emotions of Others (CONVERSATION) 06.12.2021

My counsellor pushed me to accept that I am accountable for my actions but not responsible for anyone else's emotions but my own... (CONVERSATION - WEEK 49, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com

"Interior. Leather Bar." [Movie] (Explained/Review) 06.12.2021

A film that plays with the documentary format and layers its challenges and concepts. If you are interested in art and censorship and sexuality this should be a hit. It challenged me and I think I'm better for it. A very meta movie that does great things. (REVIEW - WEEK 49, YEAR 3) . Social Media: http://linktr.ee/Fk_Arts fk.artists@gmail.com
