Inspired by the Japanese mingei movement of the 1920s, Mingei International Museum presents works of folk art, craft, and design with a commitment to furthering the understanding of "art of the people" (mingei) from all eras and cultures. This series puts you in audience with Museum staff and contributing artists on a mission to reflect joy in making useful objects of timeless beauty that are satisfying to the human spirit.
