Today as we finish our look at Matthew 25: 31-46, we ask ourselves this question.  What can we do? What can we do to help?  How can each of us, in our own lives and in our own ways, work to care for the least among us? We've been given so much.  How can we help? 

Today as we look at Matthew 25: 31-46, we look at the World in Front of the Text. What does this passage mean for us?  What does it look like for us to live as though Christ is King?  How should this cause us to change how we live our lives and how we treat the poor and the frail among us?

Today in our reflections, we look at the World of the Text of Matthew 25: 31-46.  What is happening on the actual page in front of us. We talk about sheep and goats, about hospitality and loving others and about how if we talk this passage seriously, how we treat the poor will have some effect upon our eternity.  

Today we look deeper at Matthew 25: 31-46.  Today we look at the world behind the text.  What is happening in the greater context of this passage. What do the stories all around this passage show us about faith and accountability?  

Today as we start our week of looking at Matthew 25: 31-46, we talk about the Christian Year and how worship is organized.  We specifically talk about this Sunday, Christ the King Sunday. What would it look like if we realized that Christ was king now? 

Today in our Traditional Service, Andy looks at Psalm 90.  In this passage we are told to count our days. What does it mean to consider how brief our lives are in the scope of eternity.  How can this lead us to wisdom? 

Today as I think about Psalm 90 and how brief life is, I think about what I would tell my younger self if I could.  I used to run so hot and the things I worries about were of no importance in the light of eternity.  Our passions and energy matters.  Let's use them on what truly counts.  

Today we look deeper at Psalm 90, specifically at the world in front of the text.  What does this passage have to do with how we live our lives today?  When we consider our lives, and what a gift each day is, how do we keep from wasting it?  What is the right path for us to walk? 

In our Wednesday Night Bible Study, we look at Wesley's concept of holiness and how that effects every part of our lifestyle.  How we use our money, live, and even how we fast should be a reflection of our love of God and Neighbor and should better help us love God and Neighbor.  

Today we look at the world of the text of Psalm 90.  We pay special attention to verse 12, as we are told in this verse to number our days.  Wisdom comes from understanding how sacred and brief life truly is. What can we learn from numbering our days? 

Today in our morning reflection, we look at the world behind the text of Psalm 90.  This Psalm was written by Moses, which is a rare thing within the Psalms, most of them were written by David.  Moses lived a unique life. What can Moses' life teach us about worship, about wisdom, and about God?  

In our Traditional Service message from November 8, 2020, Andy shares with us from Joshua 24: 1-13, 14-25.  We see the people of Israel renew their covenant and Joshua implore them to put their whole faith in God and God alone. 

This week in our reflections, we will be looking closer at Psalm 90.  Today, though, we ask the question, "what is a Psalm?"  What is a Psalm trying to do, how is a Psalm useful to our faith, how were the Psalms useful to the Jewish people, to Jesus, and to the church?  

Today we finish up looking at Joshua 24: 1-3, 14-25, and we ask this question. What happens next?  What happens after the convent is renewed?  Do the people follow perfectly?  What do you think?  We find that they don't, but we also find this, for every time they fall and fail, for every time, they find God's grace waiting on them. They can start over every time. So can we. 

In our look at  Joshua 24: 1-3, 14-25 today we look at the world in front of the text. What does this passage mean for us?  What does it mean for me and you, today, to choose to serve God over the gods of our neighbors? This passage has a TON do with our we define ourselves. How will we choose to live?

In light of our election yesterday, Andy shares with us some words about prayer, unity, and the cross.  May we work for the good of our city and may we lift high the cross. 

Today we look again at Joshua 24: 1-3, 14-25.  What is this passage actually telling us?  What are the words on the page?  What does it really mean when Joshua says that his house will worship the Lord? Why is he pushing the people so?  Join us as we look deeper at these passages.  

Today we continue with our look this week at Joshua 24: 1-3, 14-25.  Today we are going look at the concept of covenant, what does it mean to say that God made a covenant with the people? What is a covenant and what does this mean for us that God makes covenant with us, especially thought Jesus?  

In our morning reflection today, we are doing something a little different.  Our reflections this week are going to walk side by side with the Rooted Daily Bible reading at St. Matthew's UMC.  This week our text is Joshua 24: 1-3, 14-25, and today we are going to look at what happened up to this point with the conquest of the Promised Land. 

In our Tradition Sermon from Sunday, All Saints' Day, November 1, 2020, Andy shares with us from Revelation 7: 9-17.  We see here a beautiful picture of heaven, of worship and what is to come. We see our true home. And we reminded that we are just passing through.  

Today we look at what it means for us love our neighbor in a public means. These are at the works of justice.  In the Lord's Prayer, we see that we are supposed to, as a public body, the church, work to live out God's will here on earth, as it is in heaven. That means we are the church are supposed to work against hatred, evil, and sin, wherever it is found.  

Today we look at what it means for us love our neighbor in an individual means. These are at the works of compassion.  Matthew 25 shows us to for us to love our neighbor, it is not simply enough to "feel" compassion or love for our neighbor, but we are called follow through with these works of mercy with our individual compassion.
