We cannot deliver ourselves from our greatest enemies – sin, death and our adversary. But God, through the power and authority of His Son, deliver anyone and everyone who comes to Him for help.

In the face of withering temptation, Jesus' allegiance to His Father, and to His Father's will was unwavering. His steadfast endurance in His wilderness testing serves as an example for us to follow. Every person matters to God. And every moment represents an opportunity to represent Jesus before people who are lost and searching. Ask the Lord to give you eyes to see the opportunities, compassion to care and courage to act.

When has your life ever gone perfectly as planned? Never! Our plans may fail, but God's plans never fail. Even when life feels uncertain, confusing and out of control, God is at work in us and through us as we keep trusting and keep obeying.

God's grace offered to us through Jesus Christ seems too good to be true! No one is beyond the transforming power of Jesus. If God can change the Apostle Paul from an angry, self-righteous persecutor of the Church into the most ardent and effective advocate the Church has ever known, then He can change you as well. The question for each of us is simply, “Will I allow Jesus to change me today?”

God loves the Church. And through the Holy Spirit, God dwells in the Church. Because of His love and because of His holiness, God will keep the Church purified through discipline when necessary in order to protect us from the consequences of sin and to preserve the power of our witness.

Will you allow God to use your most difficult struggles, and your most triumphant successes, to glorify Himself and build His Church? He can do exceeding abundantly beyond all we can imagine in us and through us when we surrender our lives entirely to Him.

Be aware; resist; and actively allow your maker to mold your life to conform you in every way into His image.
