We are rich! Of course, we normally don't think of ourselves as rich because we measure our wealth only in comparison to people who have more than we have. But compared to the rest of the world, we are rich, both materially and spiritually. And because we are rich, we are also responsible to share from the blessings that God has given to us.

Some investments simply don't work out - they decline in value or disappear altogether. In fact, from the Bible's point of view, all earthly wealth will ultimately lose all of its value unless it is converted into something of eternal value - PEOPLE. God loves people because people are made in His image, and they will all live forever, with Him or apart from Him. So invest your life - your treasur...

The Bible says that somewhere around 2000 years ago a man named Jesus Christ died and then came back to life. Is it true? And if so, why does it matter? According to 1 Corinthians 15, it is both true and the most important truth in all of human history.

In just a few short days the people in Jesus' day moved from welcoming Him to demanding His crucifixion. What caused their radical change of heart, and what purpose did it serve in God's eternal plan?

Perfect parenting is a fantasy! So is being the perfect son or daughter! Forget about it. Think progress, not perfection. Kids learn to trust that your parents genuinely want God's best for your life. Who, or what, is in control of your life? If our affections are dominated by darkness, we cannot be the light of the world. But if we are continually conquered by the Spirit of God, we will fulfill God's will for our lives - we will shine and others will be drawn to Jesus' light.

We are new in Christ, so let's live new in Christ. Put off our old sinful patterns and put on our new patterns made possible through His transforming power.

Because of what Jesus Christ has done for us, not just individually but also corporately, we are one. That's a fact. Now our task is to learn to live as one! Each of us can help by discovering our unique design from God, and then putting to use all of His gifts for His glory and for the good of others.

Before Christ we were alienated, estranged, separated - separated from God, and separated from other people. But now in Christ we are not only reconciled to God, we can also become reconciled to one another in one new family. "But God..." These are two of the best words in the entire Bible. We were in a state of separation from God and rebellion against God, destined for an eternity apart from God, "But God...." God intervened! God rescued us from death and created life within us freely by His grace. Now we live in newness of life, empowered to fulfill God's original design for us.

We are rich, but we often live as if we are poor. We allow life's circumstances to make us feel hopeless, worthless and weak, when in fact, because of God's work through His Son we have everlasting hope, value and strength. So let's learn to live rich in Christ!

God has given us greater spiritual blessings than we can imagine! And everyone is in on the blessing - Father, Son and Spirit all working together to enrich our lives now and for eternity. How could we possibly be anything but grateful to God and eager to share with others?!
