We want to look further at how all Scripture can be profitable and yet not all the Scriptures apply.

In this sermon, we will look at three important issues related to Law in an age of grace. We’ll first define the Law, then discuss the purpose of the law, and then how Christians and the Law relate.

How does the Old Testament apply to New Testament believers? How do we deal with the many texts in the New Testament that seem to say the Old Testament is done away with? As we begin to answer these questions, Pastor Jack gives us a simple paradigm or rule of thumb by which we can approach the Old Testament.

In Psalm 29 God is described as reigning as King over the great worldwide flood. We can take great comfort in times of troubles because our mighty King strengthens and blesses His people.

It is only commandment out of the Ten which cannot be seen yet gives birth to other sins that can be seen. In the parable of the rich fool, Jesus gives us a forceful exhortation to take action against covetousness.

In this sermon, we’ll learn about the foolishness of withholding from God the glory due to Him by being stingy in our giving, thereby robbing ourselves of a blessing. We’ll also see the great blessing that comes from being a faithful, cheerful, and generous giver.

From this sermon, we need to have two truths etched on our hearts that will help us not to rob ourselves of God’s blessing, and instead, gain His blessing in our lives.
