I'm gonna get alot of flack for saying this but... idk. I think it just depends on how much this means to you and how seriously you take it. I get that we can all get burnt out at times but we should always try and put our best foot forward.

So many complainers about, this was in the book. That was in the book! Okay, if you went in blind why are you complaining? Just dnf and move on...

Okay so maybe the critics are right aboutthis one. Alot of romance these days just feels like a thriller. We talk about some of the problems with mmc's and why in many books the authors forget that um... he needs to develop some sort of strong feelings towards her to be a romance! lol yes, even in a dark romance...

The amount of authors being cancelled over trivial matters is so strange to me. It is also a reason so many people worry about becoming traditionally published in their careers. I truly believe some of the best stories are the ones that maybe aren't the most palatable.

Authors are constantly critiqued for the behavior of their characters. Especially, with dark romance. Some, often those who are not fans of the literature say we glorify abuse towards women!?
