The message of the gospel is that Jesus is supreme and sufficient for our reconciliation to God, salvation, and new life. But for some reason people continue to try to add to the gospel. Paul warns the Colossians against these stumbling blocks and we talk about what this looks like for us today.

We begin our summer series in Colossians by fixing our eyes on King Jesus.

We continue in chapter 1 of Colossians and see how Jesus reconciles us to God, gives us a new identity, and dwells in us through the cross. We also heed the call to mature in the gospel.

God gives us boundaries to live within for our good, to set us free, and to help us be transformed. But often we can have a negative view of boundaries. We explore the power of healthy boundaries and how they apply to the topic of our wealth.

In week two we strive to take our new perspective on wealth and solidify it into deep convictions.

We begin our May missions series in Luke 12 where Jesus illustrates how our perspective on wealth and possessions is offer very different from God’s. We are to be a people who are to be defined by the love of Christ. This must distinguish us from the world regardless of culture, race, nationality, or ideology.

We dive into 1 Peter 1 to see how having a living hope in God is so much greater than anything else we could put our hope in.
