I had a chat with Ann Leahy MP who was in St George this morning to talk more about the bush fires that are happening in the Carnarvon Gorge, as well as the closures of the Longreach and Emerald Ag colleges, plus what was discussed at the Shadow Cabinet meeting this week.

In the final sports talk for 2018, I was joined in the studio this morning by Scott Hilton from the Roma And District Junior Cricket Club abouttheir upcoming season plus the Roma Cities Christmas Party.

I called Anne Leahy early this morning to discuss various topics including the Small Business Index revealing that the Laboor government least popular among small and medium business owners. Labor proposing to close down the Ag colleges in Emerald and Longreach.

Mat Gane and I had a chat about local sports including a St George local that won bronze at the track and field Championships in Melbourne recently as well as the Roma team making the finals at the Deadly Choices QLD touch tournament. We also discussed Australia's performance in the Women's 20/20 cricket championships in the West Indies.

I had a chat with Ann Leahy this morning. Some of the things we talked about include, a recap of the last parliamentary sitting for the year last week. Other things we discussed include the need for competition in the energy sector, skills shortages in rural QLD and Ann attending the state council meeting in Cairns.

Mat Gane and I were joined by special guest, Tallis Landers who will be participating in the Deadly Choices QLD Touch Tournament, as part of Deadly Choices a health promotion initiative of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH). We also discussed the great result for the Roma Cup last weekend, plus Australia's chances against England in the rugby.

Also an alarming report revealing Queensland has the highest unemployment rate in the country.

In this episode we talked about the upcoming Roma cup ,starting tomorrow. Roma Roustabouts winning a gold medal at the Softball Masters tournament. We also discussed the movements in the off season for the NRL.

On November 23rd at 6pm at the Roma saleyards is the launch of the "Get Your Headright" mental health toolbox. I had a chat to one of the organizers, Mark Westbrook about it.

Ann Leahy dropped in to the studio this morning to talk about a few topics. On the show, she talked about the LNP wanting to introduce tougher penalties for child killers, a new report by the Queensland government's competition authority on the benefits of competition for electricity providers, plus the last day of state parliament for 2018 next week.
