On this day in London in 1814, a massive flood occurred in the suburb of Camden. But this was no ordinary flood, it was a flood of beer. Porter to be precise. Between 580,000–1,470,000 litres escaped and flooded the nearby streets, tragically killing nine and destroying two houses. I gave more details on the show this morning.
