The Nobleman is desperate to get to the one person to could heal His son. (Jesus) But he came on His terms. He could only believe that Jesus could heal his son if Jesus came with him back to Capernaum 25km away. His faith was only in the Physical. It has been said that Jesus wanted to Heal this mans soul as much as He wanted to heal the dying son. Lets see how this conversation plays out.

Jesus comes back to the Galilee area where He knows all is not going to be easy for Him. The people want Him to do miracles but will not receive Him as the Messiah. This is the setting where the Nobleman comes to Jesus.

The Samaritan woman goes and tells the people of Sychar to come and see the person that knew everything about her. They come and they believe that Jesus is the Christ the Saviour of the world.
