John 6:60-71 - Jesus speaks to the 12 - The 20000 have dwindled to 12 04.10.2025 32:49
It has been an incredible 24 Hours. He started with a huge crod of up to 20,000 people wanting to make Him king of Israel. They follow Him back to Capernaum where they were hoping for another free feed but what they received were words that would give them eternal life. To do that they needed to eat and drink of him. That is to believe on Him alone. They did accept Him as THE Bread of Life. They a...
John 6vs41-59 - There is Eternal Life only in Jesus 04.10.2025 24:00
Right through these verses today as Jesus is now speaking to the religious leaders. The crowds on the whole have gone and now there are a lot less people. Again Jesus says in verse 48 that He is the bread of life. Right through this passage we see that Jesus over and over again uses the word LIFE. In the Greek it is the word "Zoe" which means that the very life of God is present in Jesus and those...
John 6:22-40 - 3 More statements/Questions asked by the crowd - I am the bread of Life 04.10.2025 25:34
The 4 questions/statements by the crowd leads to the crowd becoming annoyed at Jesus and finding His answers too hard to follow. Jesus tells them that He is the true bread from Heaven and only if they eat and drink of Him will they have eternal life. In verse 35 Jesus plainly says that He is THE Bread of life. Those that come to Jesus will never hunger and if they believe in Jesus they will never...
John 6:22-27 Intro to Vs 22-71 - Hunger for the food that leads Eternal life 04.10.2025 24:34
After Jesus fed the 5000 men plus women and children (up to 20,000), and walking on water the people realized that Jesus had somehow come back to Capernaum without them knowing. 4 statements/questions are asked of Jesus between John 6:22 to 40. Today we look at the 1st one. "How did you get here?" Jesus knew they just wanted another free feed so he tells them not to labour for food that perishes b...
John 6:1-21 Part 3 Feeding of the 5000 men and Jesus walking on water 29.08.2025 31:32
The Final part in this series of 3 is in regard to how Jesus responded to both the crowds and to the disciples. He displayed 5 characteristics which are also fully credible regarding Jesus life. They are 1/ His knowledge for the people. 2/ His concern for the people. 3/ His authority over the people. 4/ His generosity towards the people. 5/ His freedom from the people. I then look at these miracul...
John 6:1-21 Part 2 The feeing of the 5000 men and Jesus walking on water 29.08.2025 30:13
Today we look at the credibility of the stories by looking at the reported responses of the disciples and crowds, that is the people that witnessed these miracles. I wanted to do this as people find it incredibly difficult to wrap their heads around these miracles and just dismiss them as fables. However In every way they responded is the way that we would have responded. It makes them valid event...
John 6:1-21 Part 1 Feeding the 5000 men and Jesus walking on Water 29.08.2025 23:04
Before we get to these 2 specific miracles I look at miracles in general and particularly healing miracles even though they aren't part of these 2 miracles. I want to start here as an introduction to these 21 verses. I trust you will be challenged and inspired. God Bless. Pastor John
3 Reasons people dont follow Jesus (John 5:39-47) 09.08.2025 21:18
The last part of chapter 5 gives us 3 reasons why people dont want to follow Jesus. It is clearly a decision of the will but the choice is made because: 1/ People not no love for God. (Vs 41-43) 2/ More concerned about their reputation. (vs 44) 3/ Intellectual Pride (Vs45-47) I then give a summary of the chapter where at the start of the chapter Jesus is being accused but by the end of it the tabl...
The 3 evidences that Jesus gave to claim that He was God (John 5:31-39) 09.08.2025 26:13
Back in Bible times as is the case now, at times, people need to vouch for your Character and the need prove that you are and have done as you say you have. For Jesus that was a little bit harder as He came from Heaven and took on flesh. As John writes in Chapter 1 that God became flesh and dwelt amongst us. How do you prove that credential. Well in this passage He was able to give 3. 1/ John the...
The authority of Jesus (John 5:19-30) 09.08.2025 28:27
3 Times Jesus says Most assuredly in Verses 19,24 and 25. It means Amen. It means its true. Its a reality. The disciples are going to be amazed at what they see. Not only healings but people raised from the dead. Including Himself. In John 14:12 Jesus makes the statement to His followers that they too will do miraculous things. Ultimately, in Jesus there is life and as He came to this earth went t...
Healing at Bethesda part 3 (John 5:1-15 04.07.2025 29:01
This is the aftermath of the healing of this Paralysed man. Since Jesus healed on the Sabbath the religious leaders who were already being threatened by the miracles and the growing popularity of Jesus decided that it was time to go on the attack against Jesus. 3 things i point out regarding religion vs true faith in Jesus... 1/ Law vs Spirit 2/ Regulations vs Life 3/ Form vs true power to live th...
Healing at Bethesda Part 2 John 5:1-15 04.07.2025 20:35
The paralysed man had to make a choice whether he was going to accept what he always had. That he would be paralysed for life. Or was he going to accept the life changing words that Jesus was offering him to 1/Rise 2/Take up his bed 3/Walk. Jesus never helped him up. This man had to, by faith, take these 3 commands for himself and do it. HE DID! I want to finish this note by quoting Philippians 4:...
Healing at Bethesda Part 1 (John 5:1-15) 04.07.2025 20:42
Was this paralysed man going to receive healing from Jesus. Jesus asked a simple question. Do you want to be made well. Instead of yes or no he gave excuses. When Jesus speaks to us do we accept what is or do we step out in Faith. Do we accept God's word or do we just go with our heart belief on our lives and circumstances? Today we start to look at this question.
The Nobleman's son healing (Part4) John 4:52-53 03.06.2025 20:45
The Nobleman goes home and finds that his son is indeed recovering. Death no longer has hold of him. This week we see that the Nobleman truly believes in Jesus. He and his whole household. He believes in the person of Jesus. It was a progression of faith. From Jesus needing to come with him (Physical presence) then to believe in the power of Jesus to heal at His word and finally today that Jesus b...
The Nobleman's son Healing (Part 3) John 4:50-51 and 54 03.06.2025 16:17
The Nobleman had to come to terms with the very challenging words that Jesus spoke to Him. "Go your way, your Son lives." What if he goes and heads back and his wife says to him that nothing has changed or worse, that he had died. No phones to ring through. He just had to accept Jesus' word. Jesus word is failsafe! The nobleman moved his faith from needing the Physical presence of Jesus to heal to...
The Nobleman's son Healing (Part 2) John 4:46-49 03.06.2025 20:04
The Nobleman is desperate to get to the one person to could heal His son. (Jesus) But he came on His terms. He could only believe that Jesus could heal his son if Jesus came with him back to Capernaum 25km away. His faith was only in the Physical. It has been said that Jesus wanted to Heal this mans soul as much as He wanted to heal the dying son. Lets see how this conversation plays out.
Introduction to The Nobleman's son Healing John 4:43-45 (Part 1) 03.06.2025 21:44

Jesus speaks to the Samaritan woman at the Well. Part 3. John 4:19-26 25.03.2025 17:20
In this sermon we look at statements 5-7 that Jesus makes to the Samaritan Woman. Within these verses Jesus makes it clear that true worship isn't based in any building but it is in "Spirit and Truth". He also shares about God the Father and so i want to elaborate on The Fathers role within the Trinity. Finally Jesus makes clear who He is to the Samaritan Woman. It is amazing that right through th...
Jesus and the samaritan Woman. Part 2 John 4:7-18 22.03.2025 30:27
This week we start to look at the conversation between Jesus and the samaritan Woman. This week we look at the first 4 areas of conversation that Jesus brings up. She tried to deflect right through but Jesus persists. Religious rules say that Jesus should never speak to a Samaritan and never a Woman in public. Jesus defied that as he wants to help mend a broken woman who has been married 5 times a...
Jesus Speaks to the Samaritan Woman Part 1 - John 4:1-8 15.03.2025 25:38
Jews and Samaritans literally hated each other. We go through a brief history of why. Jews would never pass through the samaritan area despite it being so much shorter to do so to go from Judea in the South to Galilee in the North. Why did Jesus deliberately do this? Why did He speak to a woman in public when that was not acceptable at the time and a Samaritan woman at that? He Wanted to teach his...

Nicodemus (A Pharisee and respected religious leader in Israel) comes to Jesus under the cover of the night to talk to Jesus. He wanted to understand the secret to Jesus' power and teaching. Jesus makes the definitive statement that unless you are born of water and the Spirit you cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus would understand that water is connected to repentance but he had no idea ab...

Faith Part 1 - Trust in God. A look at Joshua. 04.10.2024 21:19
It is easy to have faith when all is going well but it is a different story when you have nowhere to go but to God. Putting your faith in the Lord is trusting Him implicitly. Joshua is a great example when he gave a minority view against the whole nation but God honoured his stand.
