Do you know where Jesus came from? Do you believe in the virgin birth?

Psalm 90 is a song, a lament, to be sung by the community of Jews as a reminder of their journey from Egypt, through the wilderness, to the edge of the Jordan River, before entering the Promised Land. Do you need a reminder to set aside rebellion and disobedience in favor of embracing God’s covenant, commandments, and direction for your life?

Today is day thirty in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy, the final chapter of the book and the death of Moses. What have you learned from this wonderful journey through the book of Deuteronomy?

Moses’ final blessings to the tribes of Israel. Based on your behavior, what would your blessing be?

At the end of Deuteronomy chapter 31, God instructed Moses to write a song. Chapter 32 is the song Moses wrote. When God blesses you, do you have a song in your heart?

In Deuteronomy 31, we see Moses’ succession plan. Who will lead the nation of Israel into the Promised Land? Are you headed to the Promised Land?

Deuteronomy 30 concerns repentance, forgiveness, and the choice of life and death. Is it easy or hard to obey God? Have you chosen life?

Today is day twenty-five in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We will be covering Deuteronomy 29, as the covenant is renewed before the people enter the Promised Land. Do you need a second chance with God?

Today brings us to Deuteronomy 28, one of my favorite passages in all the Old Testament. It is about blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. Are you obeying God’s Word and being blessed, or disobeying and suffering God’s curses?

In Deuteronomy 27, we will see the consequences of disobedience. God grants us freedom of choice. How are you using your freedom?

Today is day twenty-two in our thirty-day trek through the Book of Deuteronomy. Chapter 26 is about offerings and tithes. Do you understand the tithe? Do you tithe?

Today, we are in Deuteronomy 24 and 25. This is the last day we will cover two chapters. The rest of Deuteronomy will be one chapter a day. We are going to learn about divorce and Levitical marriage. Are you married? Are you happily married?

In Deuteronomy 23, we will learn about some who are excluded from the assembly, uncleanness in the camp, and miscellaneous other laws. Purity is not a concept we talk about much anymore. Is your behavior pure by biblical standards?

Today is day nineteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We take two chapters again today, chapters 21 and 22, concerning various laws to live by in the Promised Land. The Bible has much to say about sexual relations. Do you conduct your life accordingly?

Today is day eighteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We cover two chapters today, Deuteronomy 19 and 20; they go together. They have to do with laws concerning cities of refuge, witnesses, and warfare. Have you ever uttered the statement, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”? If so, you were quoting Deuteronomy 19:21.

In Deuteronomy 18, we are going to learn about how to take care of Levitical priests and about a successor to Moses. How do you take care of your pastor or priest today?

Today is day sixteen on our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. We are on chapter 17, more rules of how to live when crossing over to the Promised Land. Are you a rule-abiding citizen of God’s kingdom?

Today is day fifteen in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy. Chapter 16 covers Passover and a couple of the feasts. Do you understand Passover? Do you celebrate feasts today?

Today brings us to Deuteronomy 15. We have the poor among us. How did God instruct Israel to handle the poor? How do you deal with the poor among us today?

In Deuteronomy 14, we will learn about clean and unclean food and some lessons about tithing. What do you think about tithing, is it still applicable today?

Today is one of the four days in our thirty-day journey through the Book of Deuteronomy we cover two chapters, Deuteronomy 12 and 13. Chapter 12 will cover the Lord’s chosen place to worship, and chapter 13 will cover a warning against idolatry.

In Deuteronomy 11, Moses reminds the Israelites to love and serve the Lord. He covers the blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience. Are you obedient or disobedient? Are you blessed or cursed?

In Deuteronomy 10, Moses reminds the people about the time when God provided them a second set of stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments. Aren’t you glad God is a God of the second chance? Do you need a second chance?

In Deuteronomy 9, Moses reminds the people again, it is not their righteousness that brings them into the Promised Land. And he reminds them of the golden calf incident in the desert. How are you going to get into the Promised Land? Do you have golden calves in your life?

In Deuteronomy 8, we are reminded to remember the Lord our God. Do you look back? What do you remember about God’s intersections in your life?
