When we recognize our place in God’s universe, we no longer  have to  make ourselves the center. Freed from the pressure to make ourselves great, we can enjoy the wonders of God’s world.

We do not have sleepwalk through life. Jesus offers us the life we were made for!

You  can’t  focus on what God has for you when you are always looking at others in comparison. This is a lesson we must learn  over and over again  as exemplified by Jesus’ first followers.  

We are made to serve one another in joyous and diligent contentment before God with all who have gone before us.  

Humans are constantly sizing one another up, figuring where we fall in the pecking order, and seeking to move up. Jesus, though models a different way—a way in which we give honor away rather than seeking it for ourselves.

Jesus can lead us to the life we were created to live if we give him control.  

God calls us to be better for others, never better than others.  In striving for excellence, the goal is to achieve some good, regardless of how I compare with others.  

Our worth comes from being made in God’s image and that Jesus shows the better way: humility, self-emptying, and pursuing excellence without needing to be above others.

Proverbs is practical wisdom for real life, especially for people stepping into adulthood. We need God’s grace, wise counsel, and a teachable spirit to live faithfully and well.

Living wisely means honoring God through both diligent work and careful speech. It’s a call to do excellent work, rest faithfully, and speak intentionally.
