We are finally at the end of The Crucible by Arthur Miller, and if we're being honest, we're glad to be done with it. It was a difficult read for all of the right reasons, but we feel like we've reflected enough on how society hasn't really changed at all since 1692, 1953, or even 2015. We're tired and frustrated. Our main takeaway from this set of chapters from One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig is that we loved the horrors of these scenes and wish we had seen them sooner! The violence, the danger, the jagged edges, and the fragility of it all is teetering off balance, and we are ready for an even bigger explosion to happen.
