What does it mean to be forced to leave your home? Our 6th graders spent their final Fishtank ELA unit exploring this question through history, examining crises from Nazi Germany, Cuba, and Syria by reading Refugee by Alan Gratz, The Unwanted by Don Brown, and a variety of other powerful texts.
