As we wrap up the book of Exodus we see what happens after the Israelites turn their back on God with the golden calf. Even with that infidelity, remarkably God does not give up on HIs people. He makes a new covenant with them, all because of His name.

In this section of Exodus, we learn about the priestly garments and the process of their consecration for sacred service. While the priests served as significant mediators between God and the people, these practices ultimately point to a greater spiritual reality.

November 24, 2024 - As we continue our series through Exodus titled "The God who Saves" in these chapters we learn of God's motivation for saving His people. We know that God saves, but why does He save? These chapters give us the answer.

November 17, 2024 When God saves His people out of slavery He does so with a purpose - He sets them apart to enter into a covenant with Him. He relationally ties Himself to his people through this covenant that sets out the way for them to live in freedom.

November 10, 2024 - Exodus 19:1-6 Before God ever asks anything of His people, He tells them who they are. In today's talk, you will hear more about how our identity informs our mission.

The Israelite journey out of Egypt is full of threats, more threats, blessing, and even more threats. Their journey is just like our journey. Where they had both internal and external threats, we have both internal and external threats. Where they experience blessing, we also can experience blessing. How God leads and saves them is how God leads and saves us.

Even though the people grumbled and even in the wilderness God proved that He would provide for His people.

The Israelites find themselves between the Red Sea and Pharoah's army with nowhere to go. It's an impossible situation. Yet what we find is that our impossibility is God's opportunity.

October 6, 2024 // Exodus 7-10 The 9 signs and wonders that God gives in Exodus are more than plagues to secure the freedom of His people. They are statements that show us what kind of God Yahweh is and how there is no one like Him.

September 29, 2024 - God is revealing Himself to Moses and the people to show them who He truly is. At the same time we are given a picture of the enemy, Satan, personified in Pharaoh.

September 22, 2024 // Exodus 4 & 5 Moses confronts Pharaoh and in return the Israelites have harder work forced on them. Moses has lots of questions for God but in it all you can see a God who is present and personal but also mysterious.
