What happens when you put a teenager on the microphone?  Well let's just say that Bill stepped up to the plate to come up with a slew of alternative curse words allowing Brad to list this as a "Clean" episode.

Brad's sister challenged us to find some good 1 Star reviews.  We weren't sure about it either at first, but we did it.  Also had our good friend Mike "Guzzie" Guzman pop in from Las Vegas with an original cocktail for happy hour and to help rip apart our final review.

Wow, what a fun few weeks!  Super excited to bring you the result of a BrewStillery tour at SkaStreet in Boulder, CO and to share some amazingly awful reviews written by idiots while we are all doing our best to stay afloat in this industry.

How does it end, how does it end???  Quite warm and cheery actually.  Sean gives us the inside scoop on the Mr. Peanut review as well sharing just a piece of his immense spirits and cocktail knowledge.   Add in some good bar stories, some stupid reviews, and a whole lotta love for the industry and you've got episode 11!

Obviously this is a much bigger conversation than just one Half Shot, but here are some thoughts.

After decades in the service industry it can be fun to go yelp yourself.  Samantha and Bill revisit some reviews written about them and provide a little context.

There are 2 things you need to know about this episode.  1)  It's actually William Shakespeare and not Bruce Lee.  2). Bill's eyes did get watery.  Swear on all that is holy!

Hate is a strong word, but if Bill get's on the same side as a restaurant review... well he may feel pretty strongly about this.  Listen to us actually take the side of some of these reviewers who think children running amuck in restaurants needs to stop.

Ever since the Karen episode we've been asked about the male version.  Well we think it's Nick.  He doesn't just want to talk to the manager, he wants the whole staff listed on the menu.  In a blog article, restaurant critic Nick Lander suggests how everyone can better cater to his needs.  This deserved some attention so it's more like a Double Shot.   Here's the article l...

The Service Industry is a huge family, but every family has an Aunt Karen or a stupid uncle who just have to complain for nothing.  We're talking about some reviews written by people who claim they are in the industry, but we don't claim them back.

Have you ever wondered why we won't seat your incomplete party?  Well let's talk about it.

It's okay to just write a good review, but when you plug another establishment twice in your review...Ya' suspect!

Following up on our first half shot, we are all back to work now and want to share some of the things that have changed in our restaurants and bars.  And Samantha says Brad shouldn't have finished on an up note.  

Brunch may be one of the best meal times to enjoy with friends and family... Unless you write a terrible review and have to face the 3 Stars!

Reading and some commentary on an article published in San Diego Magazine.  The article is called "Now We Wait On Them" by food writer Troy Johnson.  Amazing take on the reopening of restaurants post COVID-19 shutdowns.
