3 Stars Podcast

We decided to revisit The Alternative Baker who is known for having a demeaning and crass attitude toward his customers.  Some of these definitely made our eyes go wide.  Is he doing it for effect or is he really an alternative to being a nice person?  What do you think?   Oh yeah... Samantha surprises Brad and Bill with what we're drinking for Happy Hour.

Once in a great while someone will stand up and do the right thing.  That's when the bottom of the barrel thinks it's their time to shine and write crap reviews.  Hugh Jackman does amazing work with his coffee brand and we jump in to fight back against some of the negative nellies who just can't help but be giant turd blossoms.

A couple of our fans asked for this episode and we were more than happy to oblige.  Our first episode of Season 2.  Some fun with vegan reviews, a bit of a switch-up on hosting roles and happy hour, as well as a new segment, Behind Bars with Bill!

We just had to crank this one out quickly for the craze goes away.  If you haven't watched the video we're talking about, just google away and you'll find it.

It's finally here!!!  The end has come to both 2020 and our first season of 3 Stars Podcast.  We've definitely found some of the worst yelpers to rage about in our season finale.   Hope you enjoy, and make sure to join us as we gear up for Season 2 and a whole new year!

Who would have thought that there are a plethora of reviews about going to see Santa?  Well... we did.   The holiday season is definitely a tough one this year, but what was everyone's excuse in years past?  Oh well, here we go.  Happy Holidays from your 3 Stars!

Brad insisted that if we were going to do a Christmas episode then we had better do a Chanukah episode.  Bill was all about it, seeing as he's a regular Grinch for Christmas.  We're gonna kibbitz a little, maybe have a nosh and get ferschniket while going over reviews of some famous Jewish Deli's.

According to more than a few smarty pants people who do things like research and write articles and stuff, 3 star reviews are more trustworthy than the ones and fives.  We thought we'd focus on some of those.  Also putting Bill to sleep with some Hot Toddies!

Some people just write really dumb reviews without realizing that doing so makes them our play thing.   It's been a tough year and we definitely take it out on some reviewers who dared to leave bad reviews during a pandemic and also on one bar that insists on screwing it up for the rest of us.  

Unbeknownst to our listeners, we had recorded enough episodes to give ourselves a break from recording for a month.  It was much needed, but we also missed it very much.  We were thankful to get back to it and back into our flow just in time for the holidays.  Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

On our 2 day trip to Las Vegas we were lucky enough to catch up with the one and only Rodrigo Delpech.  With 17 World Championship Flair Bartending titles along with over 120 Flair Competition wins to his name, Rodrigo is truly a Master of his craft and also happens to work at two of the world's most renowned flair bars.  We go over some flair bar reviews and of course, tear them to shre...

IT'S HAPPY HOUR!!!  We were super excited to take the show on the road and take our chances in Las Vegas.  While there, we were lucky enough to catch up with fellow podcasters Tom and Jackie Alley of Bar Stars Happy Hour.  We were thrilled to have them on the show and learned a lot from two true service industry professionals!

We don't get into politics on this show, and we still don't in this episode.  After all, we're about service industry reviews.  We did, however, find a couple of gems we couldn't resist.  We ALSO received the most incredible review about US.  That's us... 3 Stars Podcast... not THE US... not sure we want to read that one.  

Haunted houses suck according to Brad and Samantha, and apparently according to these reviews, but for different reasons.  Bill also learned to read a new book of insults!

What goes well with the absolute fire behind Wendy's Twitter game?  A Wendy's Frosty of course!  And what goes well with a Wendy's Frosty?  Well... Richardo's Decaf Coffee Liqueur of course!

Mamma Mia!  Never mess with the Italians when Yelp stars are on the line!  Very few restaurant owners take on Yelp and not only win, but also become heroes in the industry.   Davide Cerretini of Botto Bistro is one of those restaurant owners.  Unfortunately for us, he's sold his restaurant, but luckily continues to inspire industry professionals everywhere.

Some people fib a little when they leave their review.  Others... well... LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!!  And when it hits close to home, 3 Stars Podcast is gonna call it out!

Our Big 20th Episode featuring our special guest Tarik Jean, host of the podcast Just Jivin'.  We are talking about reviews with pictures and whether or not these pics in particular add value to the review.  Oh and Bill learns basic division.

We did a lot of ragging on Helen the Hut in our last episode, so we thought we'd bring in Master Ella D. to do battle against the forces of evil yelping.

We were going to call her something else, but our editor said the 'C' word still isn't acceptable in North America.  If ever there was a reviewer deserving of that word, Helen the Hut is it.

It seems like 1/3 of the reviews we read wish they could give less than 1 star.  Well, so do we, so here's an episode dedicated to those wishes.

Few things are better than enjoying something so much that you want more of it, even if it's cold and in the refrigerator.   Pizza, Chinese food, and of course 3 Stars Podcast.  Enjoy some reviews that had to be cut from previous episodes in order to save time.
