Jesus continues a tense back and forth with Jews who stand in prideful opposition to him because they are children of Abraham. Jesus again describes himself using a metaphor of living water, this time in the midst of a crowd who both views him in a variety of ways and is celebrating a festival with clear ties to his metaphor. Jesus teaches during the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem.  So much of Jesus’ ministry revolved around Israel’s weekly sabbath and annual festival celebrations.  It’s a reminder that regular rhythms of remembering God's provision are important to experiencing Jesus in everyday life.   Taught by Jose Zayas.

Many turn away when Jesus’ teaching becomes difficult, revealing that faith is tested not only by doubt and suffering, but also by His exclusive claims. Time is a tension in life. As Jesus defends his actions on the Sabbath to the Jewish Leaders, he articulates a different concept of time: now and not yet. How does this reshape the way we approach our time?   Taught by Ryan Doucet.

John 3v16 speaks of God’s love for the whole world, yet what leads up to that famous verse is a conversation with one individual—Nicodemus. Is our own view of God’s love shaped more by his corporate love for the whole world or his intimate and personal nature? Taught by Ryan Doucet.
