2 Girls 1 Grief

Comedy EN ↓ 13 episodes

What started as two strangers bonding over the worst thing that ever happened to us has evolved into a comedy podcast about grief, healing, and all the messy, inappropriate, hilarious moments in between. We're here to prove that grief doesn't have to be all tissues and hushed voices - sometimes it's ugly crying while laughing at your own jokes. Through honest conversations, inappropriate humor, and zero filters, we're creating a space where grief gets real and healing gets funny. Because if we don't laugh about it, we'll cry about it, and frankly, we're tired of crying.

Death & Sex 12.12.2025

Grief fucks with everything, including your sex drive. This week we're getting messy and honest about death and intimacy: how loss can send your libido into overdrive or kill it completely, why you might find yourself looking for physical connection in all the wrong places, and how your need for intimacy can get weaponized against you when you're vulnerable. We talk about using sex as a co...

Secondary Losses 05.12.2025

Losing someone you love doesn't stop at their death. It's just the beginning of losing a thousand other things you didn't see coming. This week we're talking about secondary losses: the friendships that vanish, the trust that shatters, the ability to make small talk without trauma dumping, and all the other bullshit grief takes from you when you weren't looking. We dive into ho...

How Grief Lives in the Body 28.11.2025

This week we got real about something no one talks about: what happens to sex, intimacy, and trust after you lose someone. We dive into dating as single grievers, why hookups can feel like medicine or trigger panic attacks, how sex can make you feel in control when everything else is chaos, and why intimacy actually feels better now because we know ourselves more deeply. You can only feel as good...

Grief Milestones: The Suckiveraries 21.11.2025

Suckaversaries are our way of saying sucky anniversaries... like death days, birthdays, and holidays. With Thanksgiving around the corner, we're diving into the dates that suck the most when your person is missing and how to actually get through them. This week we talk about why certain dates feel impossible, how to navigate family gatherings when you're barely holding it together, and the...

How Sad Girls Move On 14.11.2025

This week we're debunking the bullshit idea that you're supposed to "get over it" from losing someone you love. Spoiler: you don't get over it. You move on AND you move forward, and there's a huge difference. We talk about the pressure to be "better" by now, the people who tried to rush our grief, and why acceptance doesn't mean you've gotten over it. Al...

Types of Grief 07.11.2025

Have you ever realized that grief comes in more flavors than fancy ice cream, and society only approves of like three of them? Welcome to our episode on the wild world of grief varieties! 🍦💔We're exploring anticipatory grief, disenfranchised grief, complex grief, and collective grief. This is your field guide to understanding different types of grief and why mourning comes with more options...

Interview with Kevin Hines - Golden Gate Bridge Survivor & Mental Health Hero | Part 2 🌉💙 30.10.2025

Part 2 of our conversation with Kevin Hines gets even deeper. Kevin finishes the story of how he met his wife Margaret (spoiler: he told her he was a volunteer at the psychiatric hospital, not a patient). We talk about tenacity, overcoming bullying and racism, and doing things when people tell you you can't. Then we get into the important stuff: why suicide isn't selfish - it's people...

This is the episode we've been waiting to share. Kevin Hines is one of only 36 people (less than 1%) to survive jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. His story is raw, powerful, and proven to save lives 💪✨ In Part 1, Kevin shares his journey from his bipolar diagnosis to the day of his attempt, the instant regret he felt mid-fall, and the miraculous sea lion that kept him afloat until the Coas...

Why Sad Girls Self-Destruct 02.10.2025

Ever grieved so hard you woke up with a mysterious tattoo and a credit card bill that could fund a small country? In this episode we're getting brutally honest about the expensive, messy, and spectacularly unhealthy ways we cope when life goes to shit. We'll explore why "self-care" sometimes looks suspiciously like self-sabotage, share our most questionable coping decisions, and...

A Death Comedy 25.09.2025

Welcome to the weirdest meet-cute story you'll ever hear: two strangers bonding over dead parents and dark humor in a grief support group circle. We'll share the origin story of...

We're Aleksei Archer and Audra Milosch - two former mean girls who got a massive personality makeover courtesy of suicide loss.
