2 Fast 2 Forever: The Fast and Furious Podcast

We're doing things a bit differently this episode as one of our patrons, Christian Larson, picked three Michelle Rodriguez music videos for us to discuss! After opening up a quick mailbag and talking about Spelunky 2 and Bomb the Music Industry!, we take a double dip of LOST and wonder what Brian means when he says he's in the MAPD. Then, we take a trip through time to talk about three music video...

The Missing Pieces Lap continues as we go back in time to move the chronological narrative forward with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift! After catching up with the mailbag, we take a deep dive into the deleted scenes for Tokyo Drift, which cover more time than every other deleted scene we've covered so far... combined! Then, we welcome back Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse of .html to talk about T...

We've heard tales of the badassery of Chris Sanchez before, but it's time to meet the legend as we watch Michelle Rodriguez in S.W.A.T.! We kick things off by talking about counting quarters and Spelunky 2, then head to the LOST island to meet a new person (!!!) before pulling off to the side of the road to give Vince some medical attention. Then, we're headed back to the streets of Los Angeles to...

We're headed back to school (for the first time?) for Milton's Secret, and a type of role and a character that we've never before seen from Michelle Rodriguez. After talking about some pretty big Fast & Furious news, we witness a transfer of power on the LOST island and finally free Vince from the truck he's been dangling on for, seemingly, weeks now. Then, we're headed to the Great White North (C...

Grab your SQUID because we're headed back in time... to the future... to talk about Kathryn Bigelow's criminally underseen Strange Days! After opening emails about shower thoughts and Lucifer, we're invited to a baptism (by fire?!) and speeding by Leon helping Letty out of her wrecked car. Then, we're trying to recapture lost loves and save some lives in Strange Days. We talk about the twist on th...

We welcome the return of Michelle Rodriguez -- even if she can't remember who she or the family are -- as well as the return of Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse as guests for our next stop at Fast & Furious 6! After discussing the seeming reality that the family is headed to space in #F9 and dissecting the three deleted scenes that accompany Fast & Furious 6, we're joined by Nico and Kevo to dive deep i...

We're finishing up Resident Evil Week on #2F2F strong with Resident Evil: Retribution, as we're joined (once again) by Cara Gael O'Regan! First, though, we're opening an HVAC-themed mailbag, meeting the Others, and helping Letty after her car flips. Then, Cara joins us to talk about cloned versions of Michelle Rodriguez (including the third version that was cut), the way one of her clones plays di...

We're headed back to the beginning of Michelle Rodriguez's film career once more for her nearly-starring role in 2002's Resident Evil! After opening the mailbag, heading to the LOST island for an episode with very little Ana, and watching Vince flail about for a minute, we board a train en route to Umbrella Corp. HQ -- picking up fan favorite Cara Gael O'Regan along the way -- to talk about Nick B...

Today's pit stop brings us all the way back to Michelle Rodriguez's first movie: Karyn Kusama's 2000 boxing flick Girlfight! After checking the mail (and talking about pizza for a while), visiting the island for a mostly-Letty-free episode of LOST (to admire Jin's abs and talk about a three-way that just has to happen already), and struggling to rescue Vince from the front of the truck he's dangli...

We're headed back to Rio with Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse (.html) in our crew for Fast Five! But first, we're catching up emails, F&F news (which leads us down a deep rabbit hole), and Fast Five deleted scenes. In this episode, we talk about Fast Five's "R1 Moment," the power of the Justice Crush (especially compared to the Furious Force), and the Clutch Letty Moment. We also talk about Rico and Te...

We're tapping into a bit of our Fast & Furious origins (in a few different ways) for Blue Crush, the latest pit stop in the Michelle Rodriguez lap! First, though, we're talking about pivotal installments for LOST (our first Ana Lucia episode!) and the Fast & Furious Minute (it's go time!). Then, we're headed to Hawaii for Blue Crush to talk about whether or not the "pro QB" lives up to his title,...

We're taking a pit stop from our pit stop, as we're joined by the Budget Boyz -- Kevin Fairy and Kent Yoshimura -- to talk about their new viral video: Fast & Furious (on a Budget)! We talk to them about their history with the franchise, where the idea to recreate Fast & Furious came from, what they may be working on next, and a whole lot more. We also find out which Fast & Furious characters they...

While the pandemic may have pushed Fast 9 to next year, diehard Fast & Furious fans were given the gift of more canonical content with Fast & Furious Crossroads, the brand new video game from Slightly Mad Studios. We're joined by the game's director, Andy Tudor, to dive deep into the latest Fast & Furious story.  In this episode, we talk about how the team approached existing characters, how they...

Big episode alert! After announcing a slight scheduling change and cracking open the mailbag, we head to the LOST island for an episode full of Ana Lucia, then race over to Coachella to try to stop Dom before it's too late. Then, Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse (X is for Podcast, HTML) join us to talk about Los Bandoleros and Fast & Furious. We hear about Nico's latest realization about the franchise,...

Hop in a Johnny Cab and get your ass to Mars because we're wrapping up Paul Verhoeven week in the Missing Pieces lap by covering Total Recall! First, though, we're doing some bad things on the LOST island and trying to psych ourselves up to pull off one more job in the Fast & Furious Minute. Then, we're clearing up the differences between RoboCop and Total Recall, covering all the dreamlike Fastne...

We're kicking off Paul Verhoeven week on the Missing Pieces lap with RoboCop, which features all sorts of parallels to the Fastiverse. Before we dive in, though, we chat about Fast & Furious Crossroads, open the mailbag, make our way across the island in the LOST episode "... and Found," and convince Mia to give us Dom's cell phone number. (Whew!) Then, we hop in the 6000 SUX and we're forcing...

Dude, where's my car? Where's your car, dude? We're having a really hard time remembering where we parked this week as we take a pit stop on the Missing Pieces lap to cover Dude, Where's My Car? Before we get there, though, we swing by the Tailies' home base in LOST and convince Mia that Dom needs our help. Then, our patron (and past guest and unofficial co-host) Brian Rodriguez (High School Slumb...

We're welcoming back Nico Vasilo and Kevo Risse (HTML: Husbands Talking, More or Less) to talk about 2 Fast 2 Furious and the Turbo Charged Prelude. First, though, we're taking a look at the handful of scenes "lifted" from 2 Fast 2 Furious, and how they may have changed the movie. Then, we welcome in Nico and Kevo as they continue to watch these movies for the first time. Get ready to learn about...

Our Missing Pieces lap of disorientation continues with Dark City, a mind-warping sci-fi film from Alex Proyas that's lost in time. Before getting lost in a city of perpetual night that seems to reset itself each time the clock strikes midnight, we're headed back to the island for our first real dose of Ana Lucia in LOST, then confessing to Mia that we're undercover cops in the Fast and Furious Mi...

Don't believe his lies. We may have lost our short-term memories, but we're pretty sure Lap 7 also serves as our Missing Pieces lap, and we've got matching tattoos that say to cover Memento, so here we are. Before we talk about Memento, though, we cover an episode of LOST that Michelle Rodriguez may or may not be in, then make sure everyone knows we never narc'd on nobody. Then, we welcome the ret...

Our first pit stop in our Michelle Rodriguez/Letty Ortiz lap is the star-studded film Widows, her most recent starring role. This episode also marks the kick-off to The Ana Lucia Cortez Leticia Ortiz LOST For a Minute: our episode-by-episode breakdown of Michelle Rodriguez's run on LOST. (As though these episodes needed to be longer, right?) In this episode, we tear open the mailbag, meet Ana Luci...

We're kicking off Lap 7 with new guests, new games, and new questions, but the same first movie: The Fast and the Furious. Before we dive into the movie, though, we open a "top-tier" (in Joe Two parlance) mailbag, unveil the inaugural class of the Fast and Furious / 2 Fast 2 Forever Hall of Fame, then call a bit of an audible and discuss the deleted scenes from The Fast and the Furious, rather tha...

We're closing out Lap 6 by kicking it old school one more time, throwing it way back to 1972 with The Getaway, our second Steve McQueen movie this lap. First, though, we open up a double dose of the mailbag and get absolutely smoked by Johnny Tran at Race Wars. Then, we quickly set up a heist only to see it all go wrong. We compare McQueen and MacGraw to Brian and Mia, assemble the ultimate all-ti...

We're a mismatched duo who loves arguing as much as we love smashing through things, so you know we're going to enjoy Freebie and the Bean! Before we cover the penultimate movie in the Kickin' it Old School lap, we're taking an Aaron Sorkin-esque walk-and-talk with Jesse en route to his race against Johnny Tran. Then, it's on to Freebie and the Bean as we try to determine which family members most...
