The treasurer role is an elected position, though some in town have argued before the Charter Revision Commission in recent months that it should be appointed.

This week, we talk to Duncan Chisolm. A New Canaan resident, Chisolm helps organize the  United Methodist Church 's Midnight Run program, which sees a wide swath of community volunteers collect and deliver food, clothing, blankets and personal care items directly to New York City's homeless poor.

This week, we talk to  Hannah and Alex Guerrero , children of the late longtime New Canaan resident and prolific artist Ben Guerrero . A fixture in town for decades, Ben Guerrero created a wide range of art work in his life, much of it curated for a new exhibition, titled " Our Friend Ben ," opening Jan. 29 at the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society .

This week, we talk to the Rev. Dr. Stephen Chapin Garner and Frank Lyon about the Congregational Church of New Canaan's recent trip to Taybeh, the last remaining all-Christian town in the West Bank. Garner and Lyon, who works for AmeriCares, will make a presentation at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14 at the Congregational Church about the visit and what they learned. All are welcome.
