UDAF From the Field: Stories of Utah Agriculture

In Midway's rapidly changing landscape, Pear Tree Llamas stands as an example of long-term stewardship. Hear from landowners Katy and Jerry White, UDAF's Land Conservation Program, and Utah Open Lands on why protecting working lands matters and how conservation easements are helping keep agriculture on the landscape for generations to come. 

UDAF travelled to beautiful Lewiston, Utah, in Northern Cache County, to talk with Spencer, Mike, and Darrel Gibbons of Gibbons Brothers Dairy, which has been an operation for over 80 years. We'll get to learn about their family history, the state of the dairy industry, and why innovation matters more than ever.

UDAF visited Tremonton to talk with three generations of the Selman family - elders Fred and Laura, their son Brett, and his son Wyatt - and Troy Forrest, Deputy Commissioner of the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food and Director of UDAF's Grazing Improvement Program. 

UDAF visits with Governor Spencer J. Cox to talk about his agricultural roots in Fairview, the values that shaped his leadership, and how Utah can continue supporting the farmers and ranchers who feed our state.
