The Steel Cage

Buddy Lee opens up remembering the events of 9/11 on this, the 25th anniversary. A brief discussion on the controversy of the air being deemed safe to breathe that day; and now the NY City Mayor producing documents stating the opposite. I give my take on the whole situation. We also remember the lives of "The Butcher" Andy Williams and "Superstar" Bill Dundee. Lee reviews Sunday Night's Main Event...

Buddy Lee gives his thoughts and predictions for a special Sunday Night's Main Event. RAW and SD discussion leading into this week-end's show. A brief review on the season seven finale of D.S.O.T.R. spotlighting Zach Gowan.

There was a whole lot to get into this week. Buddy Lee remembers the lives of Peter Cullen, Tim Curry and the iconic Dolly Parton. I talk about Sunday Night's Main Event and the card as it stands. One RAW match to three from SD and speculation is offered on what RAW may add Monday night. RAW discussion as Royce Keys returns from storyline injury now with back-up in the form of OTM (Lucien Price &a...

In this special episode Buddy Lee talks Dark Side of the Ring. I open with the Big Boss Man, then discuss WCW's debacle The Renegade and finally Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff.  The endings of these episodes were definitely dark as addiction, suicide and dementia are discussed. Also, well wishes were sent to Slick (Dr. of Style) who suffered a heart attack.

Buddy Lee is back with a jam packed episode this week. Thoughts on two nights of Summer Slam and why this could have been condensed into a single night card. We remember the lives of Siva Afi and the legendary Dory Funk Jr. Lots of Raw and SD discussion with a totally non-sesnsical luchador tournament in which the winner has no chance of defeating Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Title. The...

Buddy Lee runs down the Summer Slam card and story lines behind some of the matches. Will Solo ultimately join the bloodline; Nick Aldis agreeing to several stipulations, mainly losing his power as SD General Manager, by signing the contract vs Gunther. I notice no tag title matches or women's secondary titles on the line. Buddy Lee gives his thoughts on Sheamus leaving WWE for the same reason New...

Buddy Lee offers his thoughts and picks for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. He also discusses why the K,O T R. match is opening the night and it has to do with accomodating Brock Lesnar. Along with discussion on RAW and Smackdown both eminating from London, Lee offers some congratulations. Trick Williams and Lash Legend tie the knot and Nattie breaks a new record. I also follow up on previous...

Buddy Lee caps off a rather bland week of WWE wrestling with your next episode of The Steel Cage. Gunther wants Sami Zayn as special referee for his WWE title match vs Cody. I ponder Gunther's smarts with his pick and which way Sami may lean duting the match. Oba warns Brock again that he's coming for him after KOTR is over. Dom warns Oba not to overlook him next week in Baltimore. He tells him "k...

The King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments are underway and Buddy Lee is here with all the brackets and who he thinks will win. Interesting discussion with Oba Femi in the tourny and an inevitable third match vs Lesnar. Thoughts on how this could play out if Oba wins K.O.T.R. or if Lesnar costs Oba the crown. Jacob falls in line behind his Tribal Chief (but not Jay's punk ass) and I don't think...

Buddy Lee has a lot to chew on with both S.N.M.E. and Clash In Italy on the horizon. WWE obviously building to a Roman/Fatu rematch, but where will it take place. Gunther waits too long to sign contract vs Cody for WWE Championship and it goes up for grabs. I really like the push Royce Keyes is getting, I give my thoughts on what should ultimately happen with him. Buddy Lee remembers Ted Turner an...

Buddy Lee is here with a packed episode this week. I have thoughts on two nights of WrestleMania where only one night actually felt like WrestleMania. A hohum HOF ceremony. Plenty of fall-out and follow-up on RAW and SmackDown. I also pause a few moments to remember the one year anniversary of the passing of Kev Castle.

The Steel Cage is back with Buddy Lee ready and raring to go. Many apologies for my unexpected and extended sabatical. Also, many thanks for those who continued to download old episodes in my absence--your love and support is greatly appreciated. I open the show with condolences to the family of Bobby Duncum Sr. Buddy Lee remenbers the life of this rough and tumble wrestler. Well wishes are also o...

A special double episode as Buddy Lee has two weeks of WWE to catch up on and if you missed anything on TV, you didn't miss anything. Congratulations to Naomi and Jimmy Uso on the announcement of Baby Uso. WWE to announce how they'll crown a new Women's World Champion as Naomi vacates title. Cody held off TV to further storyline attack by Drew McIntyre and he says Cody forced him to do it. Clash I...

Another stacked show this week as Buddy Lee has two night's of Summer Slam to delve into. I then examine the fall-out, or lack thereof, on RAW and SD discussing the highlights of both shows. Buddy Lee remembers the lives of Loni Anderson and Jeannie Seely. Lastly, a close out with a review of week two of WWE Unreal.

Buddy Lee delivers a full show in anticipation for Summer Slam. I give my picks for the winners of each match for both nights. The Go Home shows for RAW and SD are discussed and I debate on how well they prepared you for this week-end. WWE released their new Netflix series Unreal and I had a chance to watch the first episode. Buddy Lee offers his thoughts on the show.                    Note Next...

This week the entire wrestling world, except AEW (screw you Tony Khan), stopped to remember the passing of arguably the biggest name to ever grace the Squared Circle--Hulk Hugan. It is unfortunate though that his death overshadows those of three other celebrities: Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne and Chuck Mangione. While obviously devoting the most time to "The Hulkster", in this somber episod...

I have a lot to say this week with Goldberg's retirement and Rollins's injury both happening on S.N.M.E.. The excellent showing by the WWE women at Evolution capped off by a stellar Main Event and a great Cash-in by Naomi. Buddy Lee talks all the fall out on RAW and SD highlighted by a gauntlet match to determine Gunther's opponent at SS and a somewhat shady contract signing between Cody and Cena....

Buddy Lee gets you ready for a double header this week-end featuring Saturday Night's Main Event and Evolution. I break down all the action from RAW and SD leading into the two shows. Condolences to the family of Teddy Long and best wishes to Don Tony and his wife; Buddy Lee has all the details on both situations. We close out picking winners for both shows this week-end.

A jam packed show this week beginning with a complete review of "Night of Champions" in Saudi Arabia and the long awaited debut of Hikuleo. The 6'8" Islander helped his new leader, Solo Sikoa, become U.S. Champion; Buddy Lee has all the details and fall-out surrounding this development. The injury bug is definitely flying around the WWE looker rooms and has bitten several superstars. I have update...

Buddy Lee gets you all set for another PLE: Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With a full slate of six matches I run down the card offering my thoughts on who wins and why. I also run down a whole list of injury updates including Liv Morgan, Chad Gable and others. Well wishes to all on the list. Also discussion on RAW and SD and how they faired as 'Go Home' shows this week.

A jam-packed episode this week as we recap M.I.T.B. and the King/Queen of the Ring tournaments are in full swing. Best wishes to Zoe Stark and Liv Morgan who have both sustained injuries on RAW. Lots of discussion on several storylines overlapping on both brands. Buddy Lee gets to the "Truth" on R-Truth/Ron Killings situation. A run down of the card as it stands for Night of Champions in Saudi Ara...

Buddy Lee previews and offers match predictions for Money In The Bank (a card with only 4 matches). I have a thought, somewhat plausible, as to why this is. I give a special shout-out and thank you to all those who have downloaded the show over the past several weeks; thus giving me record breaking numbers for that period. Discussion on both RAW and SD, the go-home shows, this week. I also talk ab...

Buddy Lee is back after an impromptu sabatical and has a whole lot to talk about in a jam-packed episode of The Steel Cage. Sadly we open with not only two deaths in the wrestling world, Sabu and Steve "Mongo" McMichaels, but a passing in my own family. After paying respect to the dearly departed, Budyy Lee has thoughts on WM41, Backlash and S.N.M.E. WWE is now emphasising Quantity over Quality an...
