What we mean when we talk about justice.

Human and non-human friendships precede recorded history. Is it possible that we care more for God’s creatures than God does?

People of faith have offered endless stories of what God is like — many of which are questionable or even disturbing. While “God lets the kids tell the story” of what they think God is like, Jesus represents God getting the final word.

The short-comings and outright abuses of organized religion have led many people looking for connection to something bigger than themselves to go solo. But the failures of many faith communities don’t mean that community isn’t vitally important. Loving God and loving one another go hand in hand.

The existence of evil side-by-side with a loving God is a problem that has stumped humans for thousands of years. No answer is sufficient, but the incarnation offers comfort even in the absence of answers.

The Bible really does say some things about LGBTQ people, women, violence, and many more topics that are difficult to swallow. We shouldn’t pretend those stories aren’t there, but we also shouldn’t allow them to have the final word on whatGod dreams for us. (Wesleyan Quadrilateral, same spirit that inspired the scriptures inspires us)

As long as humans have lived, humans have questioned what happens when we die. Is there a life after all this? If so, what is it like? And who’s “in” and “out”?

Jesus didn’t want his followers to have all the correct answers but to follow him. One of our values as a church is deepening our curiosity and sense of awe. We ask questions, therefore, not because we lack faith but because we desire a resilient and expanding faith.

It's Easter Sunday! When it looked like Jesus and his entire dream for the world had collapsed under the weight of empire, the return came with even more energy.

The crowd wanted a conquering king. Jesusentered as a servant. Framing: The series ends where Holy Weekbegins—at the moment when the powers of empire, religion, and fear collide withthe peace of Christ.

Guest Preacher: Jean Carlos Diaz-Ramos (New City Church, NEON) Christian Nationalism tells us that our nation matters most. The kingdom of God rejects that notion and instead includes every tribe, tongue, nation, and people. By seeing God in the immigrant and in each of our neighbors, we can love and live like Jesus. 

Christian nationalism blurs the line between devotion to God and loyalty to nation. When national identity becomes sacred, faith is distorted into idolatry, and God’s kingdom is confused with earthly power.

Christian nationalism turns faith into a tool for dominance, exclusion, and control. Jesus rejects this path, revealing a kingdom shaped not by force or fear, but by service, humility, and self-giving love.

Pastor Laura reminds us that faithful living in a digital world requires intentional rhythms: rest, focus, and truth-seeking grounded in God’s wisdom.

Followers of Christ are called to embody truth and grace in digital spaces, to speak with integrity and dwell with awareness of the lasting impact of our words.
