In the summer of summer 2019, a teenager was vacationing with his family when he came face-to- inhuman-face with an ancient mythological monster outside, of all places, a rural southern gas station... and a young man wakes up to find he's sharing his bed with something that has seemingly crawled out of the grave; proving, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that sometimes the real nightmares begin after...

Following a late night of hard partying, a teen snuck into his basement bedroom, turned his stereo on low and began to drift off to sleep; little suspecting that he was about to be roused by a bizarre, bipedal being that can only be described as a walking nightmare. On a frigid, winter's day in the late 1970s, three boys were playing on a frozen New Jersey field when they received the shock of their young lives in the form of a cube-like UFO that hovered overhead. But as frightening as this flying box might have been, it would be this object's vivid yellow occupants, a bizarre hawk-faced being and a slow-motion feminine fiend that would send shivers of terror...

In the autumn of 2010, a health care worker from Oklahoma claimed not only to have seen one of the weirdest organic UFOs on the books, but also to have been spirited away to the Sirius star system where he had an intensely sensual, face to fishy-face encounter with a group of highly intelligent, shape-shifting, amphibious anthropoids; one of whom he referred to as the "Heart of the Deep." The Cryp...

There are hundreds of cases involving dogs interacting with paranormal phenomenon; growling at hairy wild men, snarling at invisible entities or even cowering before UFOs. But occasionally canines have encounters that go beyond these brief brushes with the unknown; sometimes dogs have direct, flesh and blood contact with inexplicable entities… In this episode we're going to explore some of the mor...

In days of yore parents used fairy tales to invoke images of wild-eyed monsters to keep their children away from the very real ravenous beasts that dwelt in dark corners of our world. In the 20th century, as many wild places were tamed and once apex predators were driven away in droves, belief in these bellicose beasts began to fade. But, in the summer of 1987, one unfortunate French boy would fin...

The annals of extraterrestrial interactions are littered with close encounters with seemingly inexplicable entities whose forms are as myriad as massive brains, multi-limbed space specters, colossal cyclopean crustaceans and metallic asparagus stalks... but there's a special breed of crazy cranium-ed cosmic critters that also seem to delight in dismaying simple Earth-folk; these are informally kno...

In the mid-1950s reports began flooding out of Venezuela regarding a rash of all-too close encounters between human beings and evidently extraterrestrial entities; but these beings were nothing like the bizarre, but ultimately benign creatures that Steven Spielberg would make so famous a quarter of a century later. These things were small, hairy and unbelievably savage... and for eight months thei...

Though the origin story of this ghastly, quasi-humanoid she-beast read like a mishmash of a gore-drenched 1950's E.C. Comic and a kid friendly 1960's Marvel superhero introduction, the fact is that—whatever her genesis may be—the hulking carnivorous creature known to natives of the Sierra Nevada Mountains as "Penelope" leaves all who witness her feeling both petrified… and lucky to be alive. Beginning when he was just 12 years-old, a young boy had the same horrific nightmare over and over again. After many years this seemingly endless odyssey of terror finally ended, but little could he have expected that decades later he would have a nerve-rattling face-to-face encounter with a beautiful, yet bizarre being who seemed to have emerged, fully formed, from the depths of his fear addled p...
