Jax disciplines his power. The vampire, unsettled for the first time in centuries, discovers a library in the realm — ancient warnings written for minds like his. The hunter becomes a student. So does the prey.

The library isn’t shelter. It’s an eye. Jax sees the vampire reading from the waking world — watching it learn, watching it grow afraid. The realm reflects intent, not just presence. And mirrors only show what’s about to be taken.

Jax stops moving objects and starts moving the signal of reality itself — flooding the realm with false presence until the vampire freezes mid-hunt. Not because it’s confused. Because it’s receiving orders. The creature isn’t the predator. It’s a node. And whatever is running it just looked directly at Jax.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
