What happens when following Jesus becomes difficult? We often assume that if we're doing what God wants, life should get easier. But the church in Smyrna experienced something very different. They were faithful to Jesus, yet they faced poverty, persecution, and the threat of death. Continuing our Letters to the Church series, we look at Revelation 2:8–11 and discover that Jesus understands our...

Is it possible to do everything right for God and still grow distant from Him? In Revelation 2, Jesus speaks to the church in Ephesus, a church known for its hard work, perseverance, and commitment to truth. But despite everything they were doing right, they had abandoned their first love. As we begin our Letters to the Church series, we discover why Jesus wants more than our service. He wants our...

Have you ever felt like prayer has become another item on your checklist? Jesus invites us into something much deeper than memorized words, religious routines, or conversations that only happen when we need something. Through the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, we discover that prayer is about having a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father. We can come to Him honestly, trust Him with our...

Why is it so difficult to slow down when we're exhausted? In a culture that celebrates busyness, it's easy to keep pushing until we have nothing left. But God created rest as a gift, not another rule to follow. Through the story of Elijah and the example of Jesus, we discover how Sabbath rest helps us recover from burnout, release the pressure to do everything ourselves, and trust God with...

What does it look like to trust God with what He has placed in our hands? Biblical generosity begins with recognizing God's generosity toward us and understanding that everything we have has been entrusted to us to steward well. Generosity is not about how much you have. It is about what you do with what God has given you and learning to live with open hands instead of holding tightly to what...

Following Jesus is not about sitting on the sidelines. God has brought different people together as one body, and every person has a role to play in serving, caring for others, and helping the church grow. You do not serve to earn God's love or prove your value. You serve because you already belong, and God has placed something in you that someone else needs.

Why does God allow suffering, and where do we turn when the pain becomes personal? Psalm 6 shows us that we can cry out honestly to God, trust His unfailing love, and hold on to hope even when our circumstances do not change. Suffering may be part of our story today, but it is not the end of the story. Through Jesus, we have a living hope that pain, loss, and even death cannot take away.

Christianity was never meant to be lived alone. From the beginning, God created us for relationships, and following Jesus brings us not only into relationship with God but also into a new spiritual family. In week one of Holy Habits , we look at what deep Christian community actually looks like. Christian community encourages us, challenges us, helps us grow, and can become a powerful witness to t...

Doubt often shows up when life does not go the way we expected and the answers we desperately want never come. But doubt does not disqualify us from faith. We can bring our questions honestly to Jesus, hold on to what we know is true, and keep trusting Him even when everything does not make sense.

What happens when you pray and nothing seems to change? Prayer is not a transaction designed to guarantee everything we ask for. It is an invitation to draw closer to God, bring Him every fear, hope, disappointment, and request, and learn to trust who He is even when the answer is different from what we wanted.

Loneliness is one of the biggest struggles people face today, even while being more connected than ever. Scripture shows that God meets us in our loneliness, draws us close to Himself, and calls us into authentic Christian community because we were never meant to do life alone.

Being better than someone else does not make us good enough for a perfect and holy God. Salvation cannot be earned through good behavior, religious effort, or personal achievement. It is a free gift received through faith in Jesus, because good people do not go to heaven. Forgiven people do.

Anxiety can drain your joy, distort your thinking, and make tomorrow feel bigger than God. Through Elijah's struggle, we see practical ways to respond to anxiety through caring for ourselves, spending time with God, remembering that we are not alone, and continuing to take the next step God puts in front of us.

If God is good and powerful, why does He allow pain and suffering? The Bible does not ignore the reality of suffering, but it shows us a God who enters into our pain, cares about our struggles, and gives us a hope that suffering cannot take away. As Paul says goodbye to the Ephesian elders, he reflects on a life spent faithfully serving Jesus. His example reminds us that comfort is not the goal, faithfulness is. A life devoted to Jesus is never wasted, and the legacy we leave is shaped by what we choose to invest our lives in today. Acts 18 reminds us that God often builds His kingdom through ordinary people living faithfully in ordinary places. Paul, Priscilla, Aquila, and Apollos each played a different role, yet God used their faithfulness to impact entire cities and regions. The challenge is simple: stay faithful where God has placed you and trust Him with the results. Learn more about Turning Point Church: ...

Acts 17 reminds us that Christianity is not afraid of honest investigation. Paul engaged skeptics philosophers and intellectual people with truth grace wisdom and boldness while continuing to point people to Jesus. The gospel is powerful enough to stand on its own and every person must decide what they will do with Jesus. Learn more about Turning Point Church: https://www.tpclive....

Acts 10 shows one of the biggest turning points in the early church. Peter learns that God’s grace is not limited to one group of people, one background, or one kind of person. The good news of Jesus is for everyone. You do not have to clean yourself up before coming to Him. His grace reaches farther than we think.
