SciFi TV Rewatch

The race to save Cosima's life takes a positive turn as Ethan Duncan arrives at Dyad and immediately begins to decode the genetic sequences with Scott's help. We see a new side to Donnie Hendrix, and Alison obviously likes what she sees after the two bury Aldous Leekie's body. But perhaps the biggest plot twist involves Kira and Rachel.

Two for the price of one isn't always a bargain, and while it seems the crime fighting trio have some help from a fellow meta-human, the story takes a quick turn. The Huntress/Reese relationship, if you can call it a relationship, hits a bump in the road when Lynn, the local DA, appears on the scene, and we find out that they dated, albeit briefly.

It's been awhile, but we're introduced to a new clone, and like Sarah in the beginning, has no idea of what he's a part. It gets a bit more complicated, but Ethan Duncan comes in from the cold to work at Dyad now that Aldous Leekie's been killed and the hope is that he can produce a cure for Cosima and potentially the others.

Dinah copes with the death of her mother, the Black Canary, while Barbara takes her relationship with Wade to the next level. Helena and Reese continue to spar, but both their lives are on the line as she puts herself out to help him bring in a gang that turns out to be working to fund Dr. Q's plot to take over New Gotham City. Will Helena eventually go too far in her thrill seeking?

Dr. Aldous Leekie is dead, killed by of all people, Donny Hendrix after Donny learns he's been lied to from the beginning. Now what? Ethan Duncan is in play and being guided by Mrs. S as they presumably bring the missing clone science to Cosima and Delphine so they can figure out why the clone are getting sick and find a cure. Is Kira the key? What will Donny and Paul do now? What will Rachel do n...

Sarah and Helena embark on a road trip to find the Cold River Institute and perhaps clues to their past. Rehab doesn't sit well with Alison, nor does being alone agree with Felix as he copes with the fact that he's been used as a pawn in Rachel's fight to gain control.

To the surprise of everyone, Dinah's mother, the same mother who abandoned her at age six, shows up in New Gotham City though she has no idea her daughter now lives there. Though Carolyn Lance and Barbara Gordon know each other, the fact that Carolyn is Dinah's mom and also Black Canary throws our trio for a loop.

To get what she wants, Rachel pulls out all the stops, but twin sestras Sarah and Helena refuse to sit idly by. Apparently, the original genome was destroyed in the fire leaving the clones essentially orphaned, but their creator, Dr. Ethan Duncan may be alive after all.

Questions answered; questions raised. Is Daniel finally dead? How much does Mrs S. really know? Will Helena join Team Clone? Is there a Canadian produced genre show that doesn't feature Roger Cross?

This episode reinforces the fun aspect of the show as the three superheroes struggle to take care of one tiny baby who doesn't stay tiny for long. Is Doctor Quinzel ready to make her move? Will the trio be ready? Will Helena find true love?

On the run, Sarah, Felix and Kira end up at a remote cabin, and one of the show's enduring mysteries is answered. Unfortunately, Rachel and the Dyad Institute won't let Sarah simply walk away, and in a very Terminatoresque manner, Daniel apprehends Sarah leaving Kira with the man Sarah says is her father.

This episode explores the ptifalls surrounding life as a female superhero as we watch Helena struggle with the fact that she'll never enjoy a normal life nor be a normal girl. Her story parallels Barbara's baby step relationship with a fellow teacher while Dinah can't seem to make it through an entire day of high school.

Sarah reunites with Kira and Mrs. S, but all is not as it seems. Art is on board, but clearly Angie poses a huge roadblock and Helena's emergency room trip raises a number of red flags. And what's the deal with the farm?

I've often thought that the mark of a top-notch writing team and showrunner is that they possess the courage to kill off a major character when the storyline calls for it. But playing fast and loose with the rules that they create, we've had our emotions toyed with, and more often than not, our character miraculously returns. So when is dead, dead?

In a podcast crossover with Liber8: A Continuum Podcast with Mike and Dave, we begin a short form show looking at one of the most dynamic new science fiction series, Orphan Black. With five alive, at least for the time being, Sarah and her "sisters" embark on a quest to find and rescue Sarah's daughter Kira.

The late 80's and early 90's was a down period for Dave's television consumption, so it's long overdue for him to take a look at the second installment in the Star Trek franchise.

Dinah does her best to gain the trust of Huntress and Oracle but still ends up getting grounded. Crime fighting 24/7 takes it out of a superhero, so it's nice to be able to have a social life. Wayne shifts Project X into the DC Comics realm with a look at one of our characters.

We take a look at the comic book inspired WB Network show Birds of Prey that ran during the 2002-2003 fall season. Starring 16 year old Rachel Skarsten, Dina Meyer, and Ashley Scott, the show follows the exploits of three young women fighting crime in New Gotham City after Batman abandoned it. Like Lost Girl, the pilot gives an indication that the show will also be about the search for identity an...

Dave discusses the events causing him to embrace the Lifetime Movie Network despite the lack of genre fare. The appearance of genre actresses  Tricia Helfer  and  Summer Glau  spark his interest in LMN and might we have another segment on Faetalists? Also check out  Acting Outlaws .

Dave takes a look at viewer choices, good shows that struggle, and the disappointment that surrounds smart shows many viewers are too dumb to watch.

Dave and Wayne discuss spoiler etiquette in the 21st century. Binge watching, personal responsibility, and even ACC basketball are discussed as we look ahead to how our viewing habits have changed.

In the season 4 finale, finally able to find her destiny within the fae community, Kenzi makes the ultimate sacrifice for Bo. Or does she? Tamsin seems to be absolved of her past sins, and we await her future choices. And what is up with Bo and Dyson? Is Doccubus finished?

Kenzi seeks revenge for Hale's death, Lauren gets down and dirty with Evony, a warrior appears ready to defend Bo, and Massimo chows down on the Origin Seed. Some revelations about Vex catch the guys off guard, but it appears we'll be dealing in death for the foreseeable future.

Ordinarily, I'd be all over a tale about mermaids, but the only redeeming grace here is that the story brings Lauren, Dyson and Kenzi closer together as Bo shuts them out to be with Rainer. Arguably, the most poignant scene in the entire series occurs as Kenzi's heart is shattered when the love of her life dies, due in part to her own hubris.

Bo and the audience finally meet The Wanderer, and let's just say, we didn't see that coming. However, the actions of a certain human, no matter how well intended will have to be dealt with, but do we have a new romantic duo in the picture?
