How to do Adventure and Extreme Sports -- if you have a day job

Do you want to start an action, extreme sport or adventure? Like driving race cars, or climbing Everest, or diving with sharks, or in Egypt's deadly Blue Hole, etc. but have no idea how? I realized that trying to learn by watching RedBull or Nat Geo videos is far from ideal. Although they are greatly entertaining, they only feature professional athletes with years of experience, training, amazing resources and lots of time -- things a regular guy like me don't have. If this sounds familiar to you, this podcast will get you covered.

Scuba E6: Diving in the Devil's Den 09.09.2022

This is a quick one, about diving in the Devil's Den in north Florida. Devil's Den is sometimes called a cave, but it is a cavern -- check previous episode for the difference. It is arguably the 'most beautiful diving spot in the world', but I will give you my perspective.

Scuba Diving E5: Cave Diving! 09.09.2022

This episode cover what you can (and to some extent, should) do if you want to dive in a cave, but you don't have the certification. This is just a description of what I did and how I did it -- I do not recommend anyone to follow my steps and dive in caves without proper training. Listen at your own risk!

Scuba Diving E4: Diving with Sharks 01.09.2022

In this episode I will talk about diving with sharks. The different ways to do it and how. This is something super close to my heart, as I am part of the Maritime Aquarium (CT) dive team and regularly dive with sharks to maintain the tank, do presentations to customers, and generally take care of our seven '8-foot babies'. Also, my daughter runs an org called teens4sharks (www.teens4sharks.com), d...

I will build the episodes sharing experiences and advices that will lead to diving in Dahab's Blue Hole in Egypt -- considered to be the deadliest diving spot in the world with over 150 deaths, how to dive in caves, with sharks or even in the Devil's Den in FL.

Mountaineering E5: Planning 26.08.2022

In this episode, I describe some ideas about high-level planning as well as tactical planning, including some benchmarks about elevation gains per hour and speed depending on the mountain, conditions, skills and general fitness level.
