The Projectors

May's theme is "Michael Mann May" and we're gonna talk about as many Michael Mann movies as we are able so why not go with Mann's first theatrically released film from 1981? James Caan crushes it, gritty-ass Chicago style with extra sport peppers, in the awesome modern noir flick, "Thief". Wait until you see Willie Nelson in this movie and don't expect your typical "Sweet Home Chicago" Jim Belushi...

Finally, we're getting to our next MOVIE ROULETTE review selection. Last time we fell on some coming of age movies and we selected Taika Waititi's 2nd film "Boy" from 2010. It's a New Zealand film and it stars James Rolleston who does a swell job. We select our next MOVIE ROULETTE REVIEW movie at the end of the discussion. Seriously, did Michael Jackson fuck with those kids? Lot's of smoke, bruh....

April's theme is "Awkward Laughter" and we went for a deep cut instead of...oh, I don't know...a classic by Mel Brooks but whatever. Amy Heckerling directed this spoof of mobster movies from 1984 called "Johnny Dangerously" starring a pretty fresh faced Michael Keaton and all kinds of great 80s comedy stars. I'm thinking of committing crimes after watching this. Subscribe to our Youtube: https://w...

April's theme is "Awkward Laughter" and though we somehow didn't get to a Mel Brooks, Monty Python, or "Airplane!" we did have a pretty iconic one in mind. We're talking about the Top Gun spoof "Hots Shots!" starring Charlie Sheen & Carey Elwes. Also, Lloyd Bridges is amazing in this movie. One of his finest performances. I'd vote for him. April's theme is "Awkward Laughter" and our next spoofy comedy is one Bob remembers based on one joke that is still funny after all these years. We're talking about the star studded Lethal Weapon parody "National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1" starring Emilio Estavez, Sam Jackson & Jon Lovitz who crushed it. The celebrity cameos are kind of surprising. Hollywood really came together for this one. Bob'...

We went to the theaters and just had to check out Ari Aster's newest dark comedy flick "Beau is Afraid" starring Joaquin Phoenix. That shit was something else. Motherfucker's balls were HUGE. It took us a bit to get there but April's theme is "Awkward Laughter" and we're hitting up some farcical and goofy classics and what better place to start then David Zucker's "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad" starring the legendary Leslie Nielsen. Do the laughs hold up after all these years? OJ sure was funny getting beat up. Kind of wild he killed those folks. Subscribe to our Youtu...

We went to the movies and we saw who was starring in this flick so we knew what we had to do. Nicholas Cage fucking nails his role as Dracula in the Chris McKay film "Renfield". Honestly, Dracula Cage is the only thing you will retain from this movie. We hit up our second RANDOMLY GENERATED MOVIE REVIEW and we discuss this interesting romantic polish film from 2018 called "Cold War" directed by Pawel Palikowski. It's sad but also very horny in that slavic way. Pass the cabbage. I'm hungry from all this sex and crying. We went to our local cinema once again and decided to watch the fun fantasy romp "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves". It was long, but my sex addict elf/dwarf albino hybrid kicked ass. I got the Potato Sword and the Ring of Jizz so nobody can say shit to me. We got to the theaters and we picked our next feature at random. We're not up to date on the John Wick franchise, and that Shazam! movie looks...rough. So we selected Elizabeth Banks' comedy slasher that is very loosely based on a true story, "Cocaine Bear". Who doesn't love cocaine? This bear sure does. RIP Ray Liotta. March's theme is "Animation Overdose" so we discussed a 1980s anime with a strong international influence. We're discussing Katsuhiro Otomi's iconic "Akira" from 1988. I want that bike. That shit looks cool as hell. It looked cool when I was 12 and it still looks cool thirty years later. Give me that pill jacket too. We finally got around to the theaters for current movie releases and we dive into the newest in the popular horror franchise "Scream VI". You ever seen a Scream? Ok then you know what's up. Lot's of stabbing and miraculous survivors. For MOVIE ROULETTE, we draw a category out of a hat and then randomly select a number from that category list and discuss that movie. Our very first MOVIE ROULETTE REVIEW is a very strange and dated Robert Longo film based on a William Gibson story called "Johnny Mnemonic" from 1995 and it stars the one and only Keanu Reeves. Gibson also wrote the screenplay so he's not off the hook for this one....

March's theme is "Animation Overdose" so we hit up a (mostly) stop motion animated feature done by a Hollywood special effects legend. We're talkin' Phil Tippet's dark labor of love "Mad God". We also call Phil "Paul" several times but he's not "Paul" he is Phil. Sorry Phil. We discuss our very first RANDOMLY GENERATED REVIEW and the movie we randomly generated was David Fincher's 2020 ode to the culture around Citizen Kane in the movie "Mank". That clever writer guy sure is a messy bitch. March's theme is "Animation Overdose" and our next discussion is an all-time animated classic that started getting your cousin down to Florida with he kids four times a year. We're talking "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and Grumpy is kind of a bitch. Also...their beds are pushed together. March's theme is "Animation Overdose" so our very first animated feature discussion is the hit movie "Hotel Transylvania" by Genndy Tartakovsky. There's not that much sucking in it, unfortunately. Your introduction to us! Also we review what is arguably considered the first full length feature film. The Australian movie about some timeless Australian crooks. We're talkin' the 1906 pioneering film "Story of the Kelly Gang" by Charles Tait. The first Iron Man is in it.
