Spoil Me

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! We're starting the final book and it's time to see how Calder gets where we see him at the end of Shera's book, and I'm so excited! First we watch him trying to exert his authority with multiple people and he's so unsuccessful it's embarrassing. Then we find out that Petal knew some of what Jyrine was up to way back when, and I'm so sad that she w...

Thank you very much to Andy for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, Lindon manages to convince Mercy to try his plan to accelerate her advancement, but I'm not sure that I trust that her trust in HIM will keep her from continuing to suspect him based on the hinting from her mother. Also, Zeil and Orthos are in the middle of cleaning out this ruined castle when they come across a room fu...

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! The ending of this book is so jam-packed that I think I failed to do it justice, but I really tried! There's just so much to talk about, and so many small moments that tied some things together, or made me ask questions that I can't wait to be answered in the next book. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new ep...

Thank you very much to Andy for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which we get to see what it's like dealing with the Blood Sage, and find out more about his conflict with his blood copy. Meanwhile, Lindon goes to Mercy and makes a proposal, but her perception has been poisoned by Malice's manipulations. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you all soon with...

Thank you so much to Asher for commissioning this episode! In these chapters, we've got a massive cameo from our very own Ozmanthus. Thanks for listening!

Thank you to Andy for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which Lindon has to send his friends into their respective areas that will benefit their advancement. He sends Yerin off with the Sage Of Red Faith, and Zeil and Orthos go off into that bizarre frozen landscape to find remnants and power that was left behind by legends. Meanwhile, Mercy is evacuating from the attack of the...

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which Shera has to deal with the uncertainty of Calder's body being missing, and I find out that Meia seems to have had nothing to do with the Imperialists knowing Shera's plan. In flashbacks, we find out what the reaction of the Regents is to being woken up in the manner they were...and Yala is in the hotseat. Thanks for...

Thank you to Andy for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which Lindon makes constructs to protect his friends from the Silent King, and he has to hide his shame when Zeil puts him on the spot for the third construct box. However, he's got some plans for how everyone can advance, but it's very risky and they each have to individually agree. Meanwhile, Reigan Shen shows up to help...

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where Shera puts her plan to take Calder down into action, and attacks him in the building behind where he's allegedly giving a speech. Turns out that was a body double (or at least that's what Shera thinks) and she's very confident that she's got the real Calder when she kills him. Turns out she's wrong, but she's CERTAIN she'...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this entire series! It's wild to wrap up this series after what feels like such a long run, but I found this finale to be pretty satisfying as far as endings go, even though not all the loose ends were entirely tired up. I'm really interested in whether this author goes on to write anything more in this universe. Thank you all so much for listening, and I hope to...

Thank you so much to Andy for commissioning this episode! I only got to read one single solitary chapter this week because it was such a long one, but it was definitely a doozy. This is the chapter where we go into the POV of a young woman who works in metal shop in a town that has been taken over by the Silent King, and it's very fucking creepy. Dross shows up to save her, which is somehow not le...

Thank you to Asher for commissioning this episode! Lucan actually sits down with Yala and talks this all out, and she's actually able to guide him over to seeing his side of things! Which does not last, because Shera cuts to the quick of things and asks who he trusts more: Yala or the Emperor? So now I'm wondering if they're actually the ones who set the Regents free, or if that's just a red herri...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! It's almost over, y'all. We get a really surprising turn of events here, and I'm shocked to be feeling sort of sad for the Dwarf in the flask, because he seems genuinely baffled at how he fucked up and I don't feel like Truth's explanation is super helpful. Also, Al gets his body back! WAHOO!

Thank you to Andy for commissioning this episode! I'm FINALLY here with the next book in the Cradle series, and I could not be more excited. Thanks so much to you all for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you so much to Asher for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which we discover that Kellerac has been working with the Consultants for literally thousands of years, and I'm now highly suspicious of Yala. I assume she's fully working with Elders at this point. Although, what if she's not? What if she's just an unwitting pawn, like Calder? Nah. Thanks for listening, and I wil...

Thanks so much to Asher for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters in which Shera gets an elixir from the head of the Alchemist's guild that can turn her into a champion for a few hours, albeit with some side-effects. Also, we get a flashback to a scene in which Shera tries to get a job done without casualties, and a gang comes to ruin it. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is the one where Father makes entire whole human beings appear out of his chest, and I am ready to throw a scarf over my TV screen so that I don't have to look at that shit anymore because EWWW. In other news, Al sacrifices himself to give his brother his arm back in a move that I admire but do not agree with. I'm always going to vote for Al...

Thank you so much to Max for commissioning this episode! This is the one where Father inhales the souls of everyone in Amestris, and we get a horrible visual of all the people in the city collapsing as their souls are pulled towards his mouth, and I hate it. Meanwhile there's the fight still going on with Scar and Wrath, and things go in a surprising direction. Thanks for listening, and I will see...

Thank you so much to Asher for commissioning this episode! In these chapters we get to find out even more about the way the Consultants started out, and I'm suddenly extremely fucking paranoid about Yala's connection with Elders. I'm really worried that Shera's in even more danger than before, although there's the possibility that Yala isn't as corrupt as I'm immediately suspecting. Thanks for lis...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! So....apparently Father wants to eat God. I did not see this coming.

Thank you so much to Heather for commissioning this episode! We're almost at the end, folks, and I'm over here rooting for Brian to bite people's heads off and shit. If I read that sentence at the beginning of this book, I would REALLY have thought that meant something else entirely. Thank you all so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! This is the episode where we find out that Roy was kind of fucking with Gold Tooth and had no intention of performing the human transmutation. However, it turns out that they can force him to do it, and I do not think that's fair at all. At this point, it seems like the price is blindness, and that's even less fair. Thank you all for listening, and...

Thank you to Max for commissioning this episode! So this is the one where Father and Hempstool face off, and Hempstool really thinks that he's got a great plan for taking Father down. Turns out, he has dramatically underestimated the evolution that Father has undergone, and the attack he so carefully planned doesn't work at all. Also, our guys get gripped up and pulled through the portal again, al...

Thank you so much to Yama for commissioning this episode! This is the last episode of Young Wizards for the time being, and since in the chat Yama expresses some interest in perhaps doing a bulk commission of the next book. If that doesn't pan out in a couple months, I will try reading them on my own and sharing my thoughts in the Discord. I really liked the way this book ended, and I have a lot o...
