Spoil Me

Thank you to Lauren for commissioning this episode! There are so many wild things happening this episode that I don't even know where to start! We've got the revelation of what happened to Petra's mother, we get the revelation that Petra's mother can actually walk after all, we get a whole fucking secret trap door! I have no idea where this is all going, and I can't wait to see. Thanks for listeni...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters are absolutely wild and I should have seen them coming but I didn't. There are demons that feed on hopelessness and despair following around our gang of murderers, wearing the faces of their victims...or in Alex's case, the face of someone she sees as one of her victims. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters were totally gripping, and not just because these are the ones where The Gang Goes To Hell. Nope, these are also the chapters where we find out about who Tripp and Turner murdered, and I'm firmly on their sides in both cases. Their murders made the world a better place, and they did the right thing, but that's none of my business....

Thank you very much to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These are the chapters where Alex has to fight back against a fucking vampire which seems super unfair tbh, and manages to get away but I think she's piqued his curiosity and hasn't seen the last of him. Meanwhile there's still this whole Gauntlet to prepare for, and Alex has finally decided that it's time to take care of Eitan and get...

Thank you to Natalia for commissioning this episode! In this one, we've got Jane choosing to drop the lawsuit for reasons that I don't really fully agree with, and we have a truly despicable move coming from Rose when she feels like Luisa is forcing her hand. Meanwhile, Xoimara is struggling with having feelings for Rogelio, and Rafael is getting set up by Petra. Thank you all so much for listenin...

Thank you to Lauren for commissioning this episode! This episode is the one where Jane thankfully pumps the breaks on things with Rafael...until she doesn't. And to be honest, I am really torn on whether or not this is a good idea because while sometimes being prudent and patient is smart when it comes to relationships, there are also times when logic has nothing to do with love and whether things...

Thank you to Claire for commissioning this episode! I'm so angry at Michael this episode. I hope you're ready for me to just rant for a little while at his complete unwillingness to take responsibility for the choices he repeatedly made, and the shock he feels at actually being held accountable. Meanwhile, Jane gets involved with Rafael a lot quicker than I would advise, and starts her student tea...

Thank you so much to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters have a lot happening in them, and there's a considerable one with Tripp playing back into the story! BUT MOSTLY I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE WEIRD DUDE THAT ALEX MEETS BECAUSE APPARENTLY WE HAVE VAMPIRES NOW

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! So these chapters we get a couple of really huge developments. First, we've got Turner getting pulled in and potentially joining their ritual (although I don't know how they're going to get him to agree to being buried alive), Mercy getting all the deets, and then Darlington's parents showing up! So much is happening! Thanks for listening, and I...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm blown away at how fast things are moving in this book so far, and turns out that we're getting to see what's in the ballroom sooner than I expected. We also flash back to the scene where Alex accidentally reveals some of her powers to Eitan, and winds up becoming a henchman. Thanks for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm so excited to be starting the next book, but I'm very upset because it looks like Eitan is back to fuck Alex's life up again and I really resent him for it and want Alex to call in some of the superpowers she works with to take this guy out of her life once and for all. Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you soon for a new episode!

Thank you to Lauren for commissioning this episode! Now we're finally getting to some big things I've been looking forward to. The one I'm most excited about is that Jane finds out about the secret Michael has been keeping, and I'm feeling like he still doesn't seem to fully understand what was so terrible about what he did. Meanwhile, there's the whole meeting-her-dad situation and that's not goi...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! OMG. This. Ending. That is all. See you soon!

Thank you very much to Heather for commissioning this episode! This is another packed one, where we see Jane struggling with having feelings for Rafael and feeling like she has to share some things with Michael that I absolutely do not think she has to. Meanwhile, Michael is struggling to keep Petra from being arrested, and finally comes to the conclusion that losing Jane is worse than having to r...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones in which we discover that Darlington was murdered by being lured into the open mouth of a hellhound, and that nobody ever survives that. Not even just physically, either; his soul is gone and that's why he's not on the other side of the veil. But apparently demons can survive? So I'm holding out hope that he's a secret...

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! In these chapters we get some major forward movement as Detective Turner witnesses his prime suspect teleporting in and out of a prison, and poor Alex once again gets attacked within an inch of her life and has to be brought back from the brink of death. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Darlington. T...

Thank you so much to Joanna for commissioning this episode! These chapters are the ones where we finally find out both what happened in that room with Darlington, and what happened at Ground Zero. And I am HERE FOR ALL OF IIIIIITTTTTTTT Thank you for listening, and I will see you next week with a new episode!

Thank you very much to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! I have to say, while I'm super sad that this show is over, I feel that this finale was a perfect stopping place, in terms of the overall arc for the show's growth as well as tonally being a little melancholy but mostly hopeful. I think it's a good indicator that a TV series ended when it should if you're feeling both sad but satisfied...

Thank you to Claire for commissioning this episode! This is the one where Jane starts to realize that she's got some feelings going on for Raphael that are getting impossible to ignore. Meanwhile, Michael is over here lying more and more to cover up Petra's involvement and it's really beginning to snowball. Jane has decided that she's ready to have sex, but I'm glad that circumstances aligned so t...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! There were so many fun happy things going on in this one that I completely let my guard down and then the last scenes happened and knocked me on my ass. I hate this.

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! This was a fun parents-only episode about the wildest night of their lives back in '77 when they were all in school living through some of the worst of the violence of the Troubles while trying to just have normal lives. I'm very into this secret, and the way they told the story was super fun to watch. I love this show! Thanks for listening, an...

Thank you to Claire for commissioning this episode! In the second delightful installment of this wonderful series, I once again underestimate how hard this show is willing to go. We've got injuries and murders, lies and deceptions, affairs, and a few people in the mix who really are just doing their best. I love this show!

Thank you to Joanna for commissioning this episode! I'm so VERY into this book, y'all (As of this posting, I have already read the 4 chapters that come after this and OH MY GOD), and I am starting to see the shape of what Leigh Bardugo is doing in this book. At least, I think I am. Sexual assault being tossed around as a plot point is something that I don't love, but she's clearly zeroing in on th...

Thank you to Ashleigh for commissioning this episode! In this episode of Derry Girls, we get an interesting overlap in the plots where the girls are convinced the house they've been assigned to clean is haunted, while the parents are together trying to contact a spirit of their own. In the end, one of the ghosts is proved to be a regular flesh-and-blood man, but the other seems to be interested in...

Thank you so much to Florian for commissioning this special holiday episode! For this one I get to watch a couple of delightful drag queens really duke it out over their views on Christmas, with some truly funny songs and fucking FABULOUS holiday outfits. This was a total change of pace and a really great way to spend an hour during the holidays, so if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. H...
