Wowwee wow wow! Friends, before we get into PLANET OF FIRE, we have a ton of Who News to discuss because in the last two weeks we've had the reveal of the 14th Doctor, news that Tennant and Tate are returning for something to coincide with the 60th, and maybe we have a new companion cast? Anyway, we cover all that and then get into the introduction of Peri, the departure of Turlough, and the merci...

FOUR TO DOOMSDAY! If the story Kinda has been our standard for bonkers episodes for years, it only stands to reason that the episode right before it is pretty bonkers, too. Right?! Well, imagine our TARDIS team encountering a race of frog-esque people who can download your whole self into some circuitry, build an android replica of yourself, and put you to work on their massive ship...because thei...

Legend of the Sea Devils has now come and gone like the Easter candy we probably had too much of over the weekend! But like that candy, did we get hopped up on the sugar of the Easter special or did we eventually crash afterward and wonder what the heck we were thinking? This story is a bit of a mixed bag for us. There's lots we liked, there's some we definitely didn't. So join us as we sort stuff...

ELDRAD MUST LIVE! Yes, this week we take a look at Sarah Jane's final story, The Hand of Fear. The Doctor and Sarah Jane find themselves in the middle of a quarry (not surprising) during an explosion (fairly surprising) that dislodges part of an ancient silicon-based lifeform (definitely surprising) that’s been buried in there for millions of years. Turns out this Thing impersonator from the Addam...

EPISODE 250, PEOPLE! Who'd have ever thought we'd make it this far! This time around we watch The Krotons (which were designed to replace the Daleks as the Doctor's main enemy...you'll see why that didn't work out). The Doctor, Zoe, and Jamie land on a rather stinky planet. Mainly, that’s because of the sulfur content, but it’s also stinky because for over a thousand years the locals have been rul...

With thanks (as always) to Mike Solko, we have our post-Gally review recommendation! 1963: Fanfare for The Common Men! An entire audio drama created from a small reference to a fictional band during the First Doctor's era! It's a solid story and one littered with Beatles references (and one glorious conspiracy theory) for those of you who love to look for those things.

Yes, friends, we have been talking about reviewing The Web of Fear since before Gallifrey One this year, we were going to talk about it during our Gally coverage, but stars aligned such that we're finally now getting to it. And that's for the best because it's a story that deserves our full attention. We have the return of Professor Travers and the Yeti, we have the introduction of Col. Lethbridge...

Hello and Greetings once again from Gallifrey One! Join John and Taylor as they recap their Day 2 at the 32nd Annual event. They talk about ANIMATION DOMINATION, The Game of Rassilon, and much more!

We. Are. HERE! Join John and Taylor as they recap their Day Zero and Day Ones of Gallifrey One!

Podcastica's Animation Domination block continues with the First Doctor adventure Galaxy 4! While the story in and of itself doesn't exactly grip us--Taylor in fact calls this the least scary Doctor Who story ever--we are certainly entertained by the Chumblies, are impressed by a female-dominated cast (if only fewer of them were villains), and we find a sure-fire way to make this story more fun fo...

Podcatica's Animation Domination is off to a very strong start with EVIL OF THE DALEKS! The Season 4 finale was originally supposed to be the end of the Daleks in Doctor Who (but we all know how that actually turned out), so it's chock full of fisticuffs, sword fighting, and (by the time we get to the last couple episodes) explosions galore! Plus, we meet the Emperor Dalek! Join us as we review th...

Friends! 2022 has already given us this little gem of an episode! That's right, we loved Eve of the Daleks! Though we have one minor nitpick, we were delighted by what Team TARDIS was able to do with a small cast, an enclosed set, and the old time loop trope! We got explosions, emotions, action, and the confirmation of the Thasmin Agenda! Let's grab a little bit of the leftover champers from NYE a...

Our six-week long rollercoaster of a story has led us to this! The Vanquishers! Does it stick the landing? Well, we have a long discussion on expectations and how excited speculation can maybe lead to unrealistic expectations. We liked the episode, don't get us wrong, but we have to wonder if the original 8 episode season order would have served the Flux storyline better. At the end of the day, th...

Folks, we are barrelling toward the finale for Doctor Who Flux! Our penultimate episode, Survivors of the Flux gives us lots to chew on. We get a deep download of Division lore, a twisted history of UNIT, and our very own Indiana Jones-like adventures (complete with an amazing hermit)! We're still loving this season, but we're also really hoping it'll stick the landing next week. How can the Docto...

Sometimes there's an advantage to recording a day later that we normally do, especially when that day is Doctor Who's 58th anniversary! We dive into Village of the Angels, but we also have lots of news that dropped in honor of Doctor Who Day! And this episode just blew us out of the water! Possibly the second greatest Weeping Angel story ever. There's also lots of us to speculate on as we enter th...

Like a solid mythology episode of The X Files, "Once, Upon Time" gives Doctor Who fans some answers, a ton of speculation, and even more questions! This season continues to fire on all cylinders and if you were confused by the disjointed time aspect of the episode and the whole "we're hiding this character from the past and just making them look like Yaz" thing, make sure to give a listen this wee...

Having seemingly survived the Flux, The Doctor, Yaz, and Dan are dropped in the Crimean War where the British are battling the Sontarans! Yep, they're taking advantage of the Flux to conquer Earth across time. Meanwhile, on the Planet Time, not all is well. Time seems to be sentient and the mechanisms in place to make it behave are in need of repair! Can Team TARDIS make things right before the Sw...

Doctor Who is back, baby! And hoo boy do they come in swinging! There is so much happening in The Halloween Apocalypse that we think we easily could have filled a couple podcast episodes about it. We are definitely going to need a bigger flowchart (or a conspiracy board for Taylor...he has some speculation about what's going on)! Either way, join us as we look at the beginnings of this six-part pu...

Well, we could have spent most of the episode discussing news of our impending 13th season of Doctor Who (that's only two weeks away, if you hadn't noticed), but we also have a great episode to discuss this time! We continue the dinosaur trend with DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP. There's no sign of Samuel L. Jackson, but we do have guest visits from Mr. Weasley and Argus Filch! We enjoyed many aspects o...

The Doctor and Sarah Jane return to present day London to find it basically empty, save for looters, UNIT, and dinosaurs?!!? Trying to sort out the cause of these time eddies, The Doctor & Sarah Jane also discover deep underground (former) military bases, MK Ultra-esque mind control programs, and a secret space program psyop worthy of Alternative Three! All of this bonkers conspiracy-ness is ultim...

This time we discuss the 5th Doctor story The Visitation! We go deep on the interpersonal dynamics on the TARDIS right now, marvel at a sparkly droid, and behold the joy that is the character of Richard Mace! Team TARDIS are finally getting Tegan back to Heathrow, but they’re 315 years early. That’s okay, right? The air is clean, the locals are...being controlled by a fugitive Tereleptil bent on e...

Jump around! Jump around! In time, that is! This week, John & Taylor review...well, two different versions of Day of the Daleks! So you get the added bonus of us comparing what you'll find on BritBox versus the original broadcast version (and there definitely are some differences!). Regardless, Day of the Daleks is a little bit of an underwhelming story, but we dig through the muck to find the gem...

John is back! And we're reviewing The Girl in the Fireplace! The Doctor, Rose, and (well…) that other guy, arrive on a spaceship in the 51st Century. No time agents about, but the power of the spaceship is being used to punch holes back to 18th Century France and the life of Madame de Pompadour. Rather snazzy looking clockwork droids are terrorizing Reinette until she’s "ready." Can The Doctor, Ro...

This time Taylor is join by friend of the show Dan van der Werf who's chosen The Aztecs for them to watch. The Aztecs is an incredible story that shows just how powerful early Classic Who can be. Frankly, they both see much of the Modern Who template in this story! Join them for a discussion about the merits of this adventure along with some heartfelt stories of just how much Doctor Who is an anch...

This time Taylor is joined by friend of the show Terry Manley as they discuss the 5th Doctor story (and Season 19 finale) Time-Flight! It's a bonkers adventure with next to no budget that was all inspired by Peter Grimwade's hope that he could score a ride on the Concorde! But Time-Flight is a generally panned adventure that possibly would have worked better in the middle of the season. Regardless...
