I AM PASTOR DEB

We Want To Hear From YOU! Today I want to introduce you to a prophet named Habakkuk. And let me tell you, Habakkuk had some questions for God! Not those polite, Sunday-morning, church-appropriate questions. No, Habakkuk wanted some explanations! He looked around Judah and saw corruption, violence, injustice, and people doing wrong like righteousness had gone out of style. So he went to God and ess...

We Want To Hear From YOU!  Today I want you to meet a woman who got exactly one verse in the Bible, she’s seems to be strategically tucked inside scripture. Yes, her name is mentioned in that part of the Bible you read past so you can say you finished the chapter. Her name is Sheerah. She was from the tribe of Ephraim, and here’s her whole résumé outlined in 1 Chronicles 7:24 Closing Song: Keep Bu...

We Want To Hear From YOU! This morning I am introducing Felix   I’m sure some of you never knew there was a Felix in the Bible. Well, there is, and his story teaches us a very valuable lesson. We Want To Hear From YOU! Today I am beginning a series called Know Your Folk, and in it God is leading me to tell you the stories and testimonies of those in the Bible who are rarely talked about, for they are our folks.  Today I want you to meet a woman whose name we don't even know; her name was never mentioned. The story is in 2 Samuel chapter 20 Closing Song: One Wise Voice -Written &amp...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Some of us seem to believe that because we attend church every Sunday, tune in to a livestream, click on a devotional, or listen to someone preach on a regular basis, we have fulfilled our spiritual responsibility. But let me give you a little public service announcement. The devil has a perfect church attendance record, and he knows the Word of God. Closing Song: Hold Ba...

We Want To Hear From YOU! When we were young, we couldn’t wait to grow up and make our own choices. We thought freedom meant, “I can do what I want!” We didn’t always realize that our choices come with a passenger list. The people traveling with us on this journey of life may include those we know and love—our children, family, friends, and community. But the ripple can reach even farther: our cho...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Today we're going to talk about somebody whose name has been dragged through the church for generations. And no, I'm not here to defend Jezebel. The woman had some serious issues! But I am here to challenge how we've been using her name. Somewhere along the way, the church turned Jezebel into a label for women who are outspoken, strong-willed, independent,...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Scriptures: Matthew 16:21–23; Luke 23:20–34; Acts 3:17–19; Ephesians 4:26–27 Good morning, family. Here’s a question that might make you put your coffee down: Can we love God—and still get in the way of what God is doing? Can we mean well and still give bad advice? Can we think I’m protecting somebody while encouraging them to disobey God? Can our intentions be good while...

We Want To Hear From YOU! I have a question this morning, and before you answer too quickly, give it a minute. Do you believe in God? Most of us just said, “Of course I do!” Okay. But do you believe God? See what happened there? I removed one little word— in —and suddenly the question got nosy. Because believing in God means I believe He exists. Believing God means I take Him at His Word—even when...

We Want To Hear From YOU! This morning, I am being interviewed about something very few are bold enough to ask, but many have a question in their mind about it. This interview doesn’t ease into the question, nor does it let God or me off easy. A lot of us grew up singing about “how great God is” without ever asking the obvious question: does God really need us to say or confirm that? The fact that...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Bombarded with questions concerning the headline news, Pastor Deb had to answer the questions lingering in the air in this sermon. AI is being referred to as if it is a living, breathing being.  I know it may seem like it is, but snap out of it… AI is technology created by humans. It  has been accused, in headline after headline, of threatening our jobs, replacing human c...

We Want To Hear From YOU! "Okay, Pastor Deb. I understand free will. I understand that people can choose evil. But what about when somebody's evil choice results in death?" What about the child who was killed? The innocent victim? The person who went to work and never came home? The person who happened to be in the wrong place when somebody else made a horrible choice? Where was God...

We Want To Hear From YOU! “If God allowed it, doesn't that mean God caused it?” No. And that's an important distinction. Permission is not participation. The Bible never requires us to call evil good just because God had the power to prevent it. We Want To Hear From YOU! A frequently asked question:  If there is a God, why won't He just stop evil? Answer - simple: https://youtu.be/07LCzVqnyzI Closing Song:  This One's On Us - written & produced by Deborah Ocasio. https://ffm.to/this-ones-on-us Support the show www. BibleDeliverance.org

We Want To Hear From YOU! Have you ever noticed that throughout Scripture, God often met people in the middle of their work before entrusting them with greater Kingdom responsibility? This is true of Moses, David, Amos, Gideon, Peter, Andrew, James, John, Matthew, Elisha, Lydia, Paul, and many others. The Bible has been talking about labor long before America declared a Labor Day. In fact, one of...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Some of us keep returning to familiar people, methods, habits, environments, expectations, and ways of thinking simply because we know the route. We don't necessarily choose them because they're best. We choose them because they're familiar. But familiar doesn't automatically mean fruitful. The children of Israel struggled with this very thing. After G...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Proverbs 4:7 tells us, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." Then Jesus says in Matthew 11:15, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." Now wait a minute. Jesus wasn't talking to deaf people. He was talking to people whose ears worked just fine... but whose understanding didn't. The...

We Want To Hear From YOU! We spend so much of our lives trying to convince everybody that we've got it all together. We airbrush our testimony, crop our failures, filter our struggles, and then wonder why nobody relates to us. Can I free somebody this morning? Your scars don't automatically disqualify you. Sometimes they're the very evidence that you've been through the fire an...

We Want To Hear From YOU! Christians, skeptics, and atheists all have one thing in common: we're getting God wrong. Not a little wrong — comfortably wrong. Somewhere along the way, most of us traded the God who is for a god we could live with: one sized to our schedule, shaped by our wounds, and edited by our politics. In this episode, we name the gods we've quietly built and bowed to —...

We Want To Hear From YOU! DON'T PAUSE MY PROCESS. Because there is revelation in the process. There is value added in the processing. There is flavor developed during the process. Because you understand something about food that we sometimes forget about faith: Some things need time to become what they were prepared to be. Oh, that's good right there. The marinade is doing something you...

We Want To Hear From YOU! The enemy doesn't always have to tempt you to sin Sometimes he will simply overwhelm you with many things so you never focus on the one thing  The one thing he has purposed Busy. Busy. Busy. Too busy to pray. 24 hours in a day, and God gets 2 minutes in the morning and maybe a full minute before you crash at night And we are definitely too busy to sit still, to hear...
