There's some kind of fair or festival and everyone visits the psychic! Dawson has a new film hero who flirts with him and then destroys him. Joey tries to flirt and goes on a drag adventure. There's a new man in Grams' life, and it ain't Jesus. Andie convinces Pacey to be a French dog cop (not a typo). And Mitch GOT A JOB.

It's Dawson's birthday and he's not handling it well. He decides to partake in Andie's vague therapist's request by getting trashed, singing the blues, and telling off everyone he cares about. Joey helps throw Dawson's surprise party after she denies his professed love for her. But Joey gets a surprise of her own when she catches Abby making out with Jack, who is coping with everyone's reaction to...

Oh my god, Jack and Andie's dad sucks SO MUCH. Their absent, abandoning father comes to clarify Jack's sexuality. Joey asks Dawson, "Am I sexual?" Jen is surprised when Grams puts Ty in his place for being a judgmental jerk. Pacey holds an awful teacher accountable for his terrible actions and has nothing to be sorry about.

Everyone loses their mind over a poem Jack wrote. They all make the rumor of Jack's sexuality about them. Andie kind of sucks. Dawson thinks he should be involved for some reason. Joey lacks any tact on how to broach this rumor with Jack. Meanwhile, Pacey escalates things by spitting in the teacher's face for making Jack read his poem in front of the class. This results in the threat of suspension...

The whole gang (plus pretentious college thespian Devon) work together to make Dawson's movie about his breakup with Joey. For some reason, Joey and Jack agree to help. Meanwhile, Andie and Pacey are at odds because Pacey thinks he can single-handedly cure generalized anxiety disorder. And Jen finally gets her grandmother's respect (sort of)!

Dawson and Pacey are on a fishing trip with their dads, and Jack's there. Tensions run high with Pacey and his father while Dawson is oblivious to his fortune with his father. The girls help Gale with her news piece while getting close and getting real with each other, and Abby's there. All the squabbles the teens have get put to bed, which is safely away from the edge of the dock.

Last episode, the kids split off into couples to make out. But, according to a note found in English class, one of those couples had SEX! Abby and Chris go on a crusade for the truth and a passing grade. Pacey acts super weird to Andie. Jen and Jack commiserate on being the backup lover. And Dawson and Joey are back on their bullspit.

Jack poses nude for Joey and waxes poetic about an experience he's had one time. Joey learns how to be in a room with a naked man. Pacey orchestrates Andie's picture perfect evening to lose her virginity to, but in the end, Pacey stops them from going all the way? Dawson wins some (a grant to make another movie) and loses some (Joey to Jack). Joey has an electric date with Jack. Andie and Pacey's study session is interrupted by an impromptu grocery store run. Joey is pulling towards art as a newfound hobby (or passion) while pushing away Dawson with an unresolved conflict. Joey is overwhelmed by her responsibilities and also make Bessie feel terrible. Pacey reminds everyone he is the black sheep and also that he is self-absorbed. Dawson gets in a fight with his best friend AND his girlfriend. He invades Joey's privacy while also forgetting Pacey's birthday. Pacey attempts to rectify his disappointment by throwing his own birthday party. Meanwhile, Jen is going through it and befriends Abby, as that will somehow help. We're baaaAAaack! It's season 2 and we start right where we left off (except everyone looks slightly different for some mysterious reason. Joey decides to not let herself have something nice. Dawson has a boat all of a sudden. Pacey's tips are frosted. And Jen experiences a huge loss that no one seems to think is a very big deal??

Meanwhile, Jen focused so much on helping Joey win, that she may have lost Dawson in the process. Also, Pacey's there. In the beauty pageant. Just doing his best.

In an episode where everyone acts as if Friday the 13th is the same as Halloween, the kids have a disastrous seance at Dawson's house. Pacey picks up a terrifying woman at the grocery store and Cliff is desperate to show he's fun and creative. Also, Joey almost gets killed? Jen is here, too.

Joey's teaching Pacey (and us) marine biology. Pacey's catching snails and feelings. All the while, Dawson is using a perfectly lovely classmate, Mary Beth, to use as an excuse to go on a double date with Jen and Cliff. Time to ruin their date at a carnival!

For some reason, everyone is still listening to Jen's ex-boyfriend. Dawson and Pacey go ona roadtrip and sneak into a bar. For a moment, it seems like something good will happen to Joey.
