› notes‹ notes I’ve always wanted to drag my piano through the excellent storytelling world of Kedbreak136. He always has a way of immersing you and making you feel a part of the world performed before you. I was lucky enough to have my piano go on a little adventure. A stormy adventure with high hopes and last second saves.  The lost piano visits a confident guitar that shows the...

This is part 1 of a track that spiralled out of my hands this week. I'd started writing a simple, minute long midi part into synth piece that would do to keep the WB streak going. Then, flight got cancelled for a holiday me and my wife were going to go on for a few days so I had spare time and felt sorry for my/ourself so I kept adding to it. Once adding to it I wanted to make it a longer mor...

So, starting off with a story because very few people I know IRL are excited by this kind of thing. My partner and I recently picked up a turntable to start collecting vinyl (for 'Beetlejuice: The Musical' reasons), so we've been haunting the second hand and thrift stores in our rural Australian area for records. We've found a LOT of great stuff in the way we think of things as...

This is the first song I've made using my new Waldorf Iridium Core, sequenced and arranged within the Dirtywave m8,with additional vocal FX and mixing done in Ableton. This is a continuation of my projecct Baby's First Wavetable, which documents my adventure in sound design with wavetables. This track marks the start of my next project, however, as the previous one is now complete. You c...

I had a weird thought about a flame that was burning underwater and I liked the image of it.  I sort of came up with a story about being done wrong by someone in the past, but somehow maintaining this unlikely underwater flame as a source of strength. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Somewhere within the mountainous sprawl R...

fun little ambient FMy thing made entirely with the digitone mk1, then playing with a Thonk Double Bubble filter on the master followed by a qubit aurora for some washy whaley space song reverb. Enjoy 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike (BY-NC-SA)

This was a palate cleanser after last week's eerie thing. I got a beat going in MPC and got the some melodies flowing out of the MPC synths. I added a couple of garnish strings out of SkyWaves and one counter melody out of Analog Labs. It doesn't do too much. It's a simple chill thing for passive listening. It will rise or fall on whether you like that DX-ish sounding chord that kic...

had to finish on friday so this was extremely rushed some of the vocal parts are a bit rough, but it's grand so <3 this post pretty much sums up what i was thinking writing this: inspired by one of my favourite movies of all time, i could not say enough good things about the green knight <3 lyrics: hold your blade close as you cross into the wood there's a steep price to be paid in...

Shameless speed trash this week and produced completely in-the-box using Bitwig and mostly Arturia VSTs. Keeping up has been hard so I'm giving myself permission to be extra lazy from here out. I wanted to do something with a spooky Halloween type sound. Shout out to Jeremy Blake for the lofi pad preset that I used in Minifreak V. 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial (BY-NC)
