It took me a while to get started, but went with a heavy arpeggiator and it was easy to finish from there. 2026 Copyright All rights reserved

### Lore "I dare you. I absolutely dare you. I know you won't be able to resist. It's just not possible." When the song finally came on, his hips started to move almost automatically. He thought to himself "Why would I ever want to resist dancing to THIS? Why would anyone?!" ### Diary and chatter & Production notes Howdy, music friends! This might be one of the so...

I have spent the weekend packing up my things into boxes, trying to downsize my life. I thought I was doing pretty well in terms of owning a minimal amount of music gear at the moment, but when you put it all in one pile it certainly doesn't look like it!! My parents have been helping me pack. Mum is sitting on the couch while I quickly write this phase inspired synth piece. I'm rushing...

Back to your regularly scheduled 7/8 194bpm programming. This one honestly came flowing together pretty quickly - I felt much more inspired this week than I have in a little while. I hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think down below. PS: Sorry I haven't responded to everyone's amazingly kind words and generous comments the last little while. It has been a bit of a difficult time...

Unsettling, disturbing, uncanny, and largely un-musical. If it creeps you out, that's a win. Short version of this weirdness: I was going through the exhaustive and annoying process of patching and hooking up the pulsar to my audio interface, as well as the midi, to use it directly in DAW, and started fucking around recording, and then plugin vomit, and then fucking disturbing result. Lyra8 s...

Hobby chop.com release some amazing gameboy break and synth bass tools for gameboy lately. This is a little jam using one and the newly added analog sync feature. Even non gameboy musicians, I highly recommend the DNBiii breaks rom, it has so many useful break janking features. 2026 CC0 Creative Commons Zero (Public Domain)

This was my 45th anniversary birthday last week, busy busy life again so I was "lazy" and pulled some Happy birthday arrangement midi files... But then I did put too much time to chose some presets, do a little arrangement, record ugly vocals, etc...!!! so to all the WBers that had an anniversary sooner or later, this one if for you (and myself). (I am kind of sorry about this one, but i...

2 minutes of good old fun. Started with some samples for drums and a minifreak bass patch. Ran with it from there. For the guitar tone, I used the Fender Mustang plugin. For fender tones, I think it does ok. 2026 Copyright All rights reserved

I have long been a fan of Tone Matrix beautiful piano pieces - he always brings a strong sense of melody and tasteful playing. His pieces often have a sense of longing and nostalgia. I was excited for this collab, and he shared as expected a very evocative piano piece. I added of course arps and drums, and some guitar and other sound effects. And rain, because it was raining and it felt appropriat...

M8. Winter is just around the corner. I have a busy month coming up as well, so I worked on lining up some short tracks for release the next 5 weeks. I will still polish them through the coming weeks. It was a very productive week though, despite this short song. 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND)

so i hadn't really seen Coroline until this week. cool film and it got me musicing. i titled the song with only the first riff written (getting into the habit of saving more often so i don't lose progress), and as i was writing it, i was like, how funny would it be to actually put some lyrics from that song in...so i did what i could remember, which isn't much, but i like how it tur...

My only aim for doing something different this week was to use no synth sounds. It'll be obvious that I processed sounds to basically turn them into synths, but all the tuned stuff is processed versions of the field recording that opens the track. Process notes on my blog, as per... 2026 CC Attribution Noncommercial No Derivative Works (BY-NC-ND)

Giving the OPZ+303 another workout. Pulled the trigger on an OPXY that should be here next week. Really loving the simplicity of just OPZ and 1x 303, but the OPXY will be a better choice if I add a second 303. I'm working on a 45-60 minute set of semi-improv music generally like this. No external fx, everything you hear is the 303 into the Soundbox Multiwave Distortion then Chase Bliss Audio...

Let's do some Spooky Trad. Featuring Doctor Frog! Picture is from House on the Rock of the carousel. This is another song my old band would perform specifically in our Halloween set. There's a deep tradition in Celtic folk of ghost stories, and particularly of "night visit" songs - where a dead lover returns in one form or another. What could be better for Spooky Season? It&#03...
